Great time in Ketchikan - Had a blast. Awesome views and nice trail. Tour guides, Colin and Bridget, were great. Knowledgeable about the environment, helped the kids with finding fool’s gold, and took a bunch of photos for us.

Great adventure thanks to great guides! - This adventure was amazing from start to finish. They were able to accommodate our large group of family and friends. The UTVs handled perfectly even through the rough terrain. My kids enjoyed the wild ride. The guides were super knowledgeable and friendly. They let us have fun and kept us safe. The views were beautiful and lake Mahoney is the best rock skipping spot! I highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to go again. Thanks Ketchikan Adventure!

A True Taste of Nature in Ketchikan - We visited Ketchikan as part of a cruise and with so many options for excursions you’re often left wondering if you made the right decision. Have no fear, this excursion was amazing. There was a little bit of drizzle on the day we visited but the team offered good quality rainwear and even tho we had our own, they suggested we take theirs to sit on. There was a quick safety briefing and then we were on our way. The scenery was gorgeous and we stopped multiple times for photos. The tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable about everything. They pointed out different plants, trees, rocks, waterfalls and even tried to spot a whale (no luck). On our trip we didn’t get all that close to the actual falls so if that’s the only reason you’re picking this excursion you may want to rethink your choice rather than be disappointed. For us, we wanted a genuine taste of the Alaska wilderness and it was perfect. Speaking of taste, after the drive we all went back to the clubhouse for a quick lunch. Don’t get squeamish on me now…the main course was a reindeer sausage. It was delicious! They also provided hot drinks for a bit of a warm-up. My only suggestion would be to offer more than one sausage. They were more of a hotdog size and my husband could have eaten two. One last point, there are only porta-potties on this trip, you are in the middle of the woods, but the ones on this trip were spotless and even had “running” water to ensure you could wash your hands. All in all this was exactly what we were looking for and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from the crowds and get a true taste of nature.

Reindeer Hot Dogs?! - We had a great time! My personal favorite part were the reindeer hot dogs they fed us after the super fun atv ride! They took us to two beautiful lakes! The trail was beautiful and we felt safe. Staff was all very friendly. No complaints at all!

If you want to see remote Alaska with a great tour provider - Ketchikan AdventureVue is an amazing tour provider to work with. They were so easy to communicate with, they were accommodating for our needs, and their equipment is top notch. Our guide Rhi and her coworker Nellie took us on a great excursion to beautiful and remote Mahoney Lake. The scenery was absolutely beautiful and at every stop along the tour we were able to get out and enjoy the area around us. Bethany went above and beyond with helping us book our tour and Mack was super friendly at check-in. We are already looking for a date in our schedule to try out their zodiac tour. If you want to see a remote lake that even most locals have never seen, take this tour! You will not be disappointed!

Fun day with the family - Bridget and Colin were amazing! They were super knowledgeable about the area. We had a fun ride out to the lake where we had a rock skipping competition and could have spent hours! A highlight of our vacation for the whole family.

Disappointing and Boring - This excursion was the most disappointing and boring one I've been on. They put you in ATVs, you get in a line and follow the leader up the road to the lake and back. They go very fast, no time to take photos and look around. Little to no information about the area, history, etc. Absolutely no chance of seeing wildlife. While we were on our excursion, we saw at least four other groups out doing the same thing-up and down the road. Noisy ATVs going really fast up and down the mountain road from morning until dusk is not conducive to seeing anything, let alone wildlife.

Beautiful Scenery - The UTVs were nice, and the scenery was breathtaking. However, the ride itself was very bumpy and full of rocks. So don't expect a smooth ride. and bring some headache medicine. The reindeer hotdogs were great! They pick you up right at Ward Cove and take you back to the same spot.
