The entire 3 hour experience is on the water. A 20 minute fast boat ride is an excellent way to escape the crowds in Ketchikan and potentially spot marine life before we even get to the kayaks. When we arrive at our 57’ catamaran in Orca Cove you’ll meet your guide and get geared up to paddle the beautiful islands and coastal coves. The true highlight of the Orca Cove tour is exploring the secluded coves and rainforest islands up close and personal from sea kayaks with your knowledgable guide, although the snack of local smoked salmon and hummus from our favorite local cafe’ on board the mothership after paddling is ranked a close second by many of our guests.
After paddling and snacking, enjoy another boat ride back to town. Keep your eyes peeled!

A FANTASTIC day-on a scale of 1-10 this was a 1000! - From pick up to drop off this was a FANTASTIC trip. The weather wasn’t cooperating & our group was given a choice to cancel(fully refundable) or “risk it” & just try. We tried & we are so glad we did. On our trip over to the kayaks Captain Jake stopped so we could watch a mama & baby whale. We continued on through the rain to reach Matts beautiful houseboat & launch for the kayaks. We were welcomed by the team & treated to a kayak adventure with Katie, Mo & Atreyu all to ourself. We saw eagles, seals & starfish along the way. It may have rain(OK, poured) but we never felt unsafe at any point. When we finished kayaking Matt had coffee/tea/drinks & snacks ready for us. Way to quickly(and in between storms) it was time to return to the ship & were again treated to a whale. On a scale from 1-10 this was a 1000. Thank you Devon, Matt, Captain Jake, Katie, Mo & Atreyu for giving us a beautiful memory that will last a lifetime.

Best kayaking cruise. The people made it fantastic! - I give this a 5 out of 5!! The ease of getting in and out of the sea kayaks was amazing as was our guide!! Just coasting along the coast and we went out for a long time! Came back to delicious dips and veggies/crackers and a cold beer!

Sea wonderland adventure - Had the most personable crew and experience. Our guide was from Ketchikan and an environmental science major. We learned so much about the culture, way of life, and environment. This was such a great, small group experience. We felt as if we were treated like family. I walked away feeling closer to nature and inspired that it’s never too late to pursue your dreams. Do not hesitate to book! Thank you Matt, Steve, and Atreyu!

Alaska peacefullness - Devon and his crew were so nice! Being the first tour of the season did not disappoint! Had gorgeous calm weather, saw a few seals and just soaked in Alaska. It felt like we were the only people out there.

Great experience away from the crowds - Great tour with fantastic guides. Hard to fault the team for our tour - they adpated the schedule to ensure we could spend time watching a humpback that was in the area before we got to the kayaking section. Whilst we didn't see huge amounts of wildlife whilst in the kayaks, our guide was very knowledgable and entertaining and the return to the "mothership" in the cove whilst we waited for our return to Ketchikan included some very tasty snacks and hot/cold drinks. Highly recommended.
