Immerse yourself in living history by visiting Saxman Native Village for a look at the rich native culture of Southeast Alaska combined with the action-packed head-to-head lumberjack competition. At the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show, you will celebrate a bygone era as you see the logging history come to life with thrilling displays of strength and agility.
At Saxman Native Village, your Tour Host will welcome you and take you to the Beaver Clan House for a traditional performance by the Cape Fox Dancers. After the show, you will visit the Carving Center to watch totem pole carving and paint making. Finally, explore the totem pole park to learn about the figures carved on each pole and their cultural significance.
This tour also includes a scenic drive throughout Downtown Ketchikan. Your Driver will point out significant landmarks and share the rich history of this fishing town. Routes may vary depending on which meeting point you are picked up from.

Awesome tour - Well organized. Such a fun time. We were on the Norwegian Bliss and they took care of everything. Zero worries/stress!!

Enjoying - Valarie was our driver for our tour, she was amazing and extremely knowledgeable about the area. We did the Lumberjack show and Saxon Village Culinary tour. We would recommend her and the tour to anyone.

Awesome way to spend a morning! - This was exceptional! I loved all the experiences and the staff! We learned a lot and had a lot of fun with all the different activities! Loved the discovery center!

The perfect well rounded tour!!!!!! - Amazing, food and drink was perfect. Joe was awesome. All the guides and driver were amazing and the history was fascinating!

Fun and educational! - This was a fun trip. We started in the dock riding a shuttle towards downtown. Gere was our driver and it felt good knowing we have our own driver to drop us off and pick us up right on time. We did not stress about getting left behind by the boat. The saxman show was informative and cute. They have little children and a baby join the dance and we were educated about the totem poles. The highlight for me was the alaskan lumberjack show! It was both very fun and entertaining!

Great Time - Paxson Village and Lumberjack Show - Tour guide and assistant did a great job. This was on a rainy day (not uncommon up in the Pacific Northwet). The assistant / sign holder directed us to the van where we waited for the rest of our group.
Driver Joanna was very entertaining and got us to out first location (Paxson Village) quickly and safely.
The Paxson performance was outstanding. The performers were the younger people of the clan and did an enthusiastic job.
Then were lead to a group of totem poles and we were told of the different types and the stories behind them.
Then we went into the workshop where the totem poles were carved.

Next, we got back into the bus and went to the Lumberjack show. This was great fun.
From there, we walked back to our hotel (2-3 blocks away). Similar distance to the cruise ships.

Saxman Experience - Great time at the Saxman Village. We learned a lot about the culture and the authentic food is very tasty. Would highly recommend.

A great experience - I learned so much about the history about totem poles and the town. Enjoyed it very much! The Lumberjack Show was an added bonus! Very entertaining!

great show - Lumberjack show is the highlights its awesome. rain or shine we will watch it again. My family had so much fun took a lot of picture.

Good experience - Overall, we had great time. Our guide Anthony was excellent! We had a little miscommunication issue, but is was resolved quickly and efficiently. Lumberjack show was meh, but we went and had fun anyway. Native village tour was interesting, guide did great job explaining the native culture to us.
