Enjoy the sun deck or jump in the refreshing water to snorkel and discover what’s below the surface! Our reefs are about 20 to 35 feet deep with high profile coral. You can be anywhere from 5 to 15 feet from the reef!

Additional Information

We invite you to embark on a snorkeling adventure amidst the beautiful marine habitats within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. Our journey gives us access to several amazing reefs such as Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the renowned Christ of the Abyss at Dry Rocks. These conserved locations offer a chance to witness turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels, and a myriad of unique fish species. These distinctive reefs are part of the world’s third-largest existing reef system and stand as the lone living coral reef in the US. Our itinerary involves stops at two separate locations on the reef, decided by the captain based on the prevailing conditions of the day. Regrettably, we can’t assure any specific site. We include scuba diving in our packages.

In the pursuit of diminishing the quantity of single-use plastic contaminating our seas, we suggest carrying a reusable water bottle. For your comfort, we have equipped our shop and boats with water coolers!

A Fun Half Day Adventure - My niece and I had a blast searching the ocean for life in the coral areas we were taken too. The two crew members were amazing and funny. We would recommend this trip to anyone who loves the ocean.

Great company to snorkel with! - Had a great time and felt very safe with this company! Provided reef safe sunscreen, coolers to put drinks in, dry storage containers to put our belongings in, and great quality equipment for snorkeling. I think the crews names were Katie and Kristin, but I may be wrong. They did a great job of driving the boat and instructing us on where to go to see the different points of interest around the reefs. There was some storms in the area and the water was slightly choppy but visibility was very good and saw several stingrays, a hammerhead shark, and many kinds of tropical fish! Overall was a great experience and would highly recommend Pirates Cove!

Great trip! - Captain Katie and first mate H were wonderful! The weather was forecasted to be a little rougher than usual, but they waited it out and didn’t cancel right away like the other company we originally signed up to go with. The weather turned out to be perfect and we got to see everything we wanted to see! Thank you for a great experience!

Sunny day snorkel - Clear water and relatively calm seas made for good snorkeling. Captain Katie did a great job driving the boat and countering the swells for as smooth a ride as we could hope for. Hadrian gave us good instructions, and really helped put my spouse’s fears to rest before we went into the water.
