Arrive at the Khasab harbor and board a traditional Omani dhow for a cruise into the spectacular, scenic, and tranquil fjord, the Khor Ash Shamm, the longest fjord in the Musandam Peninsula. Observe the coastal villages as we cruise along and spot playful dolphins and various exotic marine creatures. We anchor at the famous Telegraph Island, a repeater station built in 1864 by the British to connect Bombay (India) with mainland Britain via an underwater and overland telegraphic cable passing through Basra in Iraq and Turkey. Enjoy swimming and snorkeling at Telegraph Island in the pristine and calm waters of the fjord. Lunch and refreshments are served onboard. Snorkeling equipment and towels will be provided on the dhow. Refreshments (tea, coffee, soft drinks, and cold drinks) will be available on the dhow.
