Highlights

A week luxurious safari, experience the highlights of Namibia, Etosha national park, Damaraland, Skeleton Coast, Swakopmund, and Sossusvlei. One of our most selected tours as it covers wildlife, nature, and landscapes.

Day 1 Windhoek to Etosha
Your guide will collect you in the morning from your accommodation in Windhoek, from you will travel about 3 hours and have a lunch stop in Outjo. After lunch, we then proceed to Etosha National park for our first game drive. Tonight’s accommodation will be in the National park Okakuejo.

Day 2 Etosha Village, Outside of Etosha National Park
This morning after breakfast will go for a game drive and return later for checking out. We go again for another game drive looking for animals and making a stop at the Etosha pan. Lunch will have it in a resort in the park called Halali. After lunch, we say goodbye to the park as we game drive exiting the park. Our accommodation for today will be just outside of the national Etosha Village.

Day 3 Prost Hotel, Swakopmund
An early start as we head to Swakopmund via Damaraland. Stops along the way will be in Damaraland, visiting the Herero ladies market where they sell souvenirs such as dolls, pillows, hang bags, and Dolls. Midday we make another stop seeing the Damara-speaking people. Before we leave this area your guide will hand out some books, used clothes, shoes, etc. to the local people. The reason for doing this is because Don Tours Safaris has a charity organization called Stand with Namibia whereby clients before or after the safari if they have old clothes or books, we give these to the locals as they need them more in this area. So every time we pass by we donate because we can for the wellbeing of the locals and they have to benefit from tourism.
The last tribe we will visit will be the unique group called the himbas. They are semi-nomadic, pastoral people who breed cattle and goats.
The last stretch of the journey we head towards the skeleton coast, passing by the coastal town called Hanties bay, Zelia shipwreck, and then entering Swakopmund late afternoon.
Dinner will be at client cost any restaurant they choose in Swakopmund

Day 4 Sossosvlei Lodge, Sesriem
Before we leave for the Namibia desert you can do activities in the morning such as Quad biking, sky diving, boat cruise, sand boarding and scenic flight. Note we leave Swakopmund midday in order to arrive in time at our accommodation. Scenic route stopping at Kuiseb canyon, Tropic of Capricorn and Solitaire. Arriving late @Sossusvlei lodge. Situated at the Entrance Gate to the Namib Naukluft Park, Sossusvlei Lodge offers direct access to the towering red sand dunes, the famous pan of Sossusvlei, the scorched black trees of Dead Vlei, and the remarkable depths of the Sesriem Canyon.

Day 5 Dune 45, Sossusvlei, Deadvlei, Sesriem Canyon

An early start as we should be ready to be at the gate of the national to enter just before sunrise. Our first stop this morning will be Dune 45, you will experience different shades and colors from the dune’s perfect time to take amazing photos of the place. We drive again and we will go and see Sossusvlei, possibly Namibia’s most spectacular and best-known attraction. Characterized by the large red dunes that surround it, Sossusvlei is a large, white clay pan and is a great destination all year round. Then we go to see dead vlei UNESCO protected area. Close to Sossusvlei, Deadvlei is a clay pan characterized by dark, dead camel thorn trees contrasted against the white pan floor. The pan was formed when the Tsauchab River flooded and the abundance of water allowed camel thorn trees to grow. In the afternoon we will head back to our accommodation as temperatures will start to rise.
We relax and enjoy the pool at the lodge then late afternoon we will drive about 10 minutes to Sesriem Canyon where will spend some time taking photos. The early Afrikaans explorers in the region named the canyon after the fact that they had to use six (“ses”) leather straps (“riem”) tied together to create a rope long enough to lower buckets into the canyon below, to fetch water.

Day 6 Return to Windhoek via Naakluft Mountains
leisure starts today as we prepare to head back via another scenic route Naakluft mountain. We make a stop at solitaire farm for the famous apple pie. We arrive in Windhoek in the after and do a short city town then you will be dropped at your accommodation
