Well planned - The tour was well planned and timed. The tour guide Jo and the bus driver were both very friendly and prompt. It was a long hot day and I perhaps wouldn’t choose to do the same activities a second time, but I can’t fault the tour operators themselves.

Memorable - The whole experience - apart from being told by Viator that I would be picked up outside a hotel in an area where motor vehicles are in fact not allowed. The tour operators themselves sent me an email to explain this.

Knossos - Best guide ever. Perfect tour in anyway. Long day from agia marina but a lots of views during the bustour.

Take a bus it’s all you get with the tour ticket - The Knossos palace was ok There is no breakfast and the breakfast snack at is hopeless just an excuse to collect money for the palace and museum which I would have thought would have been in the tour ticket

Not a great start. Knossos made it worthwhile. - Not being on the list for the coach and told we were lucky that4 people had cancelled otherwise we could not have gone. It started badly. The breakfast stop was awful and the food expensive and very poor. After that things picked up. Manolis the Guide was amazing.

Terrible Knossos archaeologist guide and overcrowded bus - Jo, the company rep, was great. However, the rest was subpar. The group was very, very big in comparison to similar tours I’ve done elsewhere. Mask wearing on the bus was not enforced. The bus was extremely hot and uncomfortable on the way back. The guide at Knossos itself was absolutely terrible. Just like a robot with no passion or enthusiasm. Much of the group began peeling off to wander alone and forgo her droning on and on. We’re history buffs and were so excited- she was shockingly bad. The time allocated for Heraklion was really not sufficient to both see the museum with any sort of intention and have lunch. Thanks, Jo for interesting info on Crete on the way over. Really made a difference!

Too long - Long journey ,70minutes collecting other passengers before leaving Chania .90minute tour around Knossos to long.Had to choose between visiting the museum or walking around Heraklion then long journey back nearly 3 hours. The coach travel guide was good

Do not book with this provider! - Horrible! I bought these tickets in advance and they gave me a meeting point at a hotel. Im there with my family at 715am. I get a call from an old lady with a British accent at 8am telling me they are going to leave my family because they have a different pick up location. She is rude and asks me why I don’t know Chania streets well — uhm, maybe it’s because like every other tourist taking this excursion, im not from Chania and i followed the instructions your company gave me. I have booked Viator in other countries, never had this horrible service. Go with a local provider. Do not book with these non-Greek people.

Extremely disappointed - The local guide for Knossos was the worst possible ever. It was our honeymoon trip in August 2022 and it ruined our honeymoon. She was not at all interested in this and made us listen to her long explanation at the entrance. Then she said that the queue for the Throne Room was too long and we had no time for that. So we completely skipped this most important room! She could have done the whole explanation while we queued up for the Throne Room! Plus we had to wait for half an hour in the coach before we could head back! Why couldn’t we just spend more time in Knossos then? After we read the guidebook we purchased separately, we realised that we have actually missed some other important areas too. What a waste of our opportunity! Extremely disappointed and never recommend. Better to go on your own and buy a guide book! There was a stop at a random cafe in the middle of nowhere for quite a while on both ways of the journey. The food/ coffee quality and options offered in the cafe were awful. The American girls behind us kept saying “this is disgusting”… I edited this review to include the date of our trip and more details of the trip because it was accused of being a spam review by the operator on Viator. I can’t find a way to edit the original review there and hence added a new review here.
