Five islands in one day! - This island excursion was easily the highlight of our trip to Phuket. What an adventure: sea kayaking in beautiful caves, visiting scenic James Bond Island, hiking through a limestone cave, lunch in a floating village, and it all ended on a beautiful beach where we could swim and buy alcoholic drinks. A very competent crew kept us safe and supplied us with lots of snacks and (non-alcoholic) drinks. Highly recommend this tour from Crystal Sea Marine.

Great day out around the islands - Mod and his team were fantastic, kind and generous. They even changed the schedule to ensure we had the best experience, and were not over crowded on James Bond Island

Fab day - Had a fantastic day from start to finish. The speedboat was great and we had plenty of time at the islands visited. Our guide Boi was fantastic and spoke great English and was Fun throughout the trip. The sea canoes were also a great experience. The buffet lunch included was delicious and exceeded our expectations. All in all a great day. I would definitely recommend xx

5 beautiful islands - 5 islands, lots of snacks, beautiful views, great crew! I highly recommend this excellent excursion from Crystal Sea Marine. The islands are beautiful and kayaking the caves was a highlight (you are guided, and do not get to kayak yourselves). Lunch was satisfactory, a buffet at a floating village. The final island is a nice beach where you can swim and have a drink. There was ample time on each island, I never felt rushed. Good for couples and families.

A great day, but too long in some locations. - We had a nice day visiting different islands, however, some aspects of the trip were better than others. The cave exploration was great, but it would be ideal if torches were provided or recommended in the ‘what to bring’ advice. The guide advised us to turn on phone torches (my phone battery was problematic so the torch chewed up battery life) and this was essential as the cave was very dark- even with lots of people inside- and a very uneven floor with many trip hazards. The canoeing was fantastic and incredibly relaxing - we saw some beautiful parts of the bay and incredible rock formations and shallow caves. Too long was allocated to James Bond island- the walk around the island only takes a few minutes and it wasn’t very inviting for swimming. Most people seemed to be sitting around for the last 20 minutes waiting to be called back on the boat. Lunch was delicious but again time allocation was too long and we couldn’t explore the floating village (unless I missed something) and we were confined to the open air tourist restaurant. Pre trip advice should also recommend grippy rubber soled shoes - the plastic pontoon walk from the boat to the shore at the final island was a slippery, bobbing feat. While the water was shallow, a slip on this could cause a bad injury, and many people seemed to have near misses. The time spent on the last island was also too long. There was only a small section of the beach roped off for swimming, and with a large number of tourists deposited, it felt like we were here to spend more money on snacks or drinks not necessarily needed. The island’s beach was far less appealing than Phuket’s beaches. At the end of the trip, the boat crew encouraged people to tip if they’d had a good time- this should perhaps also have been alluded to in the pre advice as many people did not seem to have cash and this all felt a little awkward. I also felt somewhat compelled to tip the canoeist after he made a similar enquiry about our enjoyment on his canoe. The boat driver was very skilled in backing the boat in and out of tight docking areas, and our guide was clear in his instructions and efficient in getting people off and on the boat, but didn’t really interact with the guests. Very little information was provided about our destinations or things along the way, which I’d normally expect on a trip like this. Plenty of drinks were available on the boat, and fruit was offered at the final island destination. Overall, it was good value for money, but some tweaks with timing would have made it more enjoyable. I’d have happily spent twice the time in the canoe or even on the pontoon where the canoes left from if swimming was encouraged. As other reviewers have said, there are lots of tours us going to the same destination at the and time, but this is inevitable given the time of year and the draw of these sights, however all credit to the custodians on the national parks as facilities were clean with minimal litter. The tour organisation was also excellent given the number of people and different tour operators coming and going from the same locations.

Not worth the full day trip with 5 spots…only the Canoeing at Hong island is worth it. - Out of 5 stops (Cave at Phanak island, Canoeing at Hong island, Khao Phing Kan “James Bond island”, Pannyee island for lunch, Naka island for swimming). Only the Canoeing at Hong island is recommended. The James Bond and Naka islands are very commercial, full of people and water is dirty. Same for the Naka island. The cave was not worth the stop. My recommendation is to book just the Canoeing at Hong island, then you can enjoy the rest of your day at any other clear water beaches like phi phi.
