Additional Information
Fort Kochi has a long and complicated history of dates, events, conquests and colonizers. The old bungalows, towering trees and sprawling grounds all stood witness through the vast changes from a small village to a fortress, to a bustling trading post to our whimsical town of today. It is my passion to collect stories from the neighborhood elders and relate them to Fort Kochi’s historical timeline. These sprightly anecdotes make it easy for guests to recall their visit to our quaint historical village on the Arabian Sea. Come, be my guest.

INFORMATIONAL AND ENTERTAINING - Very informative and accommodating. I was with a group of 3 other people and Ajita enthusiastically answered all our questions. Besides being a treasure trove of historical information, it was great to discover her personal family connection which added to the pleasure of the walk with her.

A very memorable experience - The Fort Kochi tour with Ajita was an experience in itself. The history of Fort Kochi along with the personal experiences of Ajita made it very informative and entertaining. The hours just went by listening to her.

A fascinating historical and personal perspective on Fort Kochi - A brilliant introduction to the history of Fort Kochi, made more special by Ajita's personal stories of growing up and seeing the development of the modern city with its art and café culture. We especially enjoyed the stories of Kochi's trees. Absolutely recommended.

Travel back in time with Ajita - We had an amazing morning walking tour with Ajita. She clearly knows everything about Fort Kochi and hearing the stories and history of every architecture made our Kochi trip memorable and truly insightful.

Highly recommended walking tour - We went on a morning walk around Fort Kochi with Ajita ( 9 am - 11 am when it was cool and quiet ) then went on another tour of the Palace, Jew Street and surrounding area in the afternoon. Both were extremely good. It soon becomes apparent that Ajita , along with her parents and brother have all made their mark on Kochi and it's community. Their involvement is so interesting and admirable. I would highly recommend you go on one of the guided walks - you will learn a wealth of detail/information for your stay there.
