• Indian Museum (Jadu Ghar) - If you’re looking for an unforgettable cultural experience during your visit to Kolkata, don’t miss out on the Indian Museum - the country’s largest and oldest museum. • South Park Street Cemetery - We have planned a leisurely stroll through the historically significant Park Street Cemetery during midday, where we will witness the exceptional Gothic and Indo-Saracenic tomb architecture. As one of the oldest non-church cemeteries in the world, the South Park Street Cemetery is the final resting place of numerous British soldiers, administrators, and their families. Notably, it houses the graves of Sir William Jones and Henry Louis Vivian Derozio, among other distinguished individuals.
• Forum Courtyard Mall - We’ve had a fantastic morning excursion, and it’s now time for our much-awaited lunch break. Enjoy a luxurious lunch at Oh! Calcutta is famous for its authentic Bengali cuisine. You can relish traditional dishes in a sophisticated atmosphere, which offers a contemporary twist on age-old recipes.

After you finish your lunch, you can treat yourself to a bit of shopping at the Forum Mall.

• Mother House - Once we finish our lunch, we plan to visit the Mother House, the headquarters of the Missionaries of Charity, where Mother Teresa lived and worked for over 45 years. It is located in the heart of Kolkata, India, and is now a museum that allows visitors to explore her life, teachings, and contributions to humanity. By visiting the Mother House, we hope to gain valuable insights into her selfless service to the poor and sick and pay homage to this remarkable woman who has touched the lives of so many people around the world.
• Jorasanko Thakur Bari - Jorasanko Thakur Bari is a historic ancestral mansion in Kolkata, West Bengal, which once belonged to the legendary Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore and his family. It is a significant landmark in Indian history. It has been transformed into a museum dedicated to showcasing the life and works of Rabindranath Tagore and his family members.

The museum is home to a vast collection of artefacts, memorabilia, photographs, manuscripts, and other personal belongings of the renowned Thakur family. The displays provide fascinating insights into the Thakur family’s contribution to Indian literature, music, art, and culture. Visitors can explore the various rooms of the mansion and witness the grandeur of the architecture and the interiors, which reflect the luxury and elegance of the bygone era.

The museum also features a well-stocked library with a vast collection of books, including some of Rabindranath Tagore’s most famous works.

• Prinsep Ghat 1 - As the day comes to an end, we will wrap up your “Kolkata Heritage & Sunset Experience: A Luxury Day Tour” with a visit to Princep Ghat. Here, we will witness a breathtaking sunset over the Hooghly River with the iconic Vidyasagar Setu as the backdrop.

To end the day on a relaxed note, we will head to Scoops in Princep Ghat for some evening snacks. Savour various ice creams and light snacks while enjoying the riverside ambience. It will be a perfect way to conclude the day’s explorations.
