During the third Ecumenical Council in 431 AD in Ephesus, it was claimed that Mary came to Ephesus with St. John in 37 AD and lived there until her death in 48 AD. After the house’s discovery, the Archbishop of Kusadasi declared it a pilgrimage site in 1892. On July 26, 1967, Pope Paul VI visited and prayed there.

Wonderful tour guides very knowledgeable and accommodating - Wonderful tour of house of the Virgin Mary. Very beautiful location and interesting history. The ruins that we were taken to were amazing. The country of Ephesus is very beautiful. Thank you for an amazing tour.

Great tour...highly recommended - Excellent tour. Had the privilege of having the entire ephesus to myself...I guess one if the perks of covid. Excellent tour guide...gave me insight that I wouldn't have received by myself.

All staff were friendly and courteous, they promptly and kindly responded to all my many emailed questions, they personally called me in Sydney to confirm arrangements and did everything they could to get us across to Turkey and down to ephesus i at such short notice.
