Highlights
  • Kos - Above Kos town lies the Asklepion, the world famous excavations from the fourth century BC. There, Hippocrates laid the foundation stone of modern medicine and wrote the Hippocratic Oath, which is still performed by all doctors worldwide today.

Further highlights of your eventful day are the mountain village Zia, the village Andimachia with the traditional windmill, as well as the untouched nature in Kefalos

  • Kefalos - Enjoy the extensive olive groves and the original landscape until you reach Kefalos with the most beautiful beaches on the island.
  • Kamari - You will enjoy a traditional lunch (not included in the price) Mastichari or ZIa depending on the route.

Stroll through the small streets of the mountain village Zia. With its old houses, it lies sleepily on the slope of the imposing Dikeos mountain. The numerous spice stalls offer you a true smell experience and if you want, you can try the typical cinnamon water there.

Georgios is the BEST 😁 - We got Georgios as our tour guide. (This is already the second tour of the island with him). Georgios is an incredibly humorous, friendly and informative older tour guide. His trips are really professional, informative and pleasant. I'd be happy to do it again 😁

Greek islands - Small island, always very windy and fortunately, because the sun makes itself felt. The Greek sea, of course, is beautiful. The beaches are varied, that is, sandy, with stones and also with rocks. Many are free. Economical, two sunbeds with umbrella start from 7 to 10 euros depending on the comfort offered. The villages are worth visiting, especially the smaller ones, to discover the real Greece. The capital Kos is very interesting from a historical and monumental point of view, where different cultures, Greek, Arab, Roman and Jewish, intersect. Hippocrates' plane tree. In a week you can visit the whole island. A destination not to be missed

A wonderful tour around the island of Kos - We had a great day with our over 80 year old tourist guide, who had such a great knowledge of the island and greek culture in general.

Trip Cancelled - Trip was cancelled but I wasn’t informed - when bus didn’t arrive I contacted local operator who said they had advised Viator the previous week that they weren’t running an English language tour and that Viator should have informed me. Instead they confirmed it two days beforehand and took the money from my credit card. I had to go through their online help centre to request a refund - it wasn’t done automatically. (This request was dealt with promptly). So my advice is check in advance that trip is running to give yourself time to make alternative arrangements. Be aware that having a confirmation email and number doesn’t guarantee departure. Rating given is for Viator.
