Additional Information

Step aboard Dukling, the only original Chinese junk boat still operating in Hong Kong. Built in 1955, Dukling was a humble fishing boat, home to hardworking fishermen. In the 80s, it was transformed into a sightseeing cruise. Its original form is preserved despite once having sunk in 2014.

Sailing through changing tides, Dukling has witnessed Hong Kong’s transformation from a fishing harbor to a modern metropolis. Representing the stories of hardworking fishermen, Dukling is a symbol of Hong Kong’s cultural legacy and a cherished part of Hong Kong’s identity.

Today, Dukling offers unique boat tours in the Victoria Harbour. Embark on a voyage through time on board by learning about the history of Dukling, the fishermen culture and the history of Hong Kong from our guide. Feel the breeze and enjoy the stunning views as this historic vessel cruises along both sides of the modern harbour.

If you are looking for something more than just sightseeing, this is the right boat tour for you.

Location
Starbucks (Avenue of Stars)
Salisbury Road
Wait by the shore in front of Starbucks / Wildfire Pizzabar, Avenue of Stars. The Pier is right outside these 2 restaurants where you find a flight of stairs leading down to the sea. Do NOT head to the pier near the Star Ferry and the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Dukling does NOT dock at that pier.

Canadian Smiles - Unfortunately we had a rainy evening but the old Junket boat was quite a treat…the staff/crew did a great job getting us found in the crowds and boarded without problems. The event was well choreographed and music nicely composed. I would recommend the event.

Best Cruise In HK Harbour - Amazing crew, amazing cruise, amazing time. Highly recommend! Also not too crowded in comparison to the commercial cruises that you can find in the city. You don't want to miss this one if you're in HK for a few days! I've lived in HK for two years and went on quite a few of those, and this one topped them all!

Super fun and crew were very helpful and made sure we were safe - It helped that the trip was free . We thought it was a scam at first but we were offered the trip through the tourist office. It was free because 2 people hadn’t turned up .

Must-do in Hong Kong! - This was such an enjoyable activity! My dad and I went to Hong Kong together recently, and the Dukling boat was definitely a highlight of the trip. We had great views of Victoria Harbour and the city skyline, and the boat had the perfect number of people so you had the space to intimately enjoy the trip. Plus, the crew were so helpful and kind, which made it even better! I would definitely recommend this!

Once in a lifetime trip - This is surely worth the trip taken. You can buy the ticket in the spot. It’s an old boat but very well maintained, the view on the boat is really amazing. I travelled one way but truly enjoyed it.

Family of all ages - Our family ranged in age from 10 to 74, and the staff was extremely attentive to all of our needs and the safety of all passengers. The night we were on the Duckling was cloudy, but it was still worth the ride and a wonderful experience.
