Highlights
  • Sham Shui Po - Sham Shui Po is a district of simple pleasures. As a historically blue-collar neighbourhood, this area just north of Boundary Street offers a lot of cheap but cheerful experiences that can’t be found anywhere else in the city. Instead of glitzy, glass-panelled skyscrapers, here you’ll find buildings that hide a rich history behind their humble façades. Don’t come here for a fancy gourmet meal. Instead, come here if you want to try Michelin-recommended noodles and snacks that won’t make a dent in your pocket. And if you’re planning to do a bit of shopping on your own time, be prepared to spend several hours here, sifting through all the eclectic wares at the open-air street markets.

Highlight of Hong Kong visit - I was given this tour as a gift from my children and it was one of the best gifts ever!!! Alex could not have been a better guide and learning and exploring the neighborhoods and tasting the local foods was beyond all expectations. I am not a tofu fan but silky tofu is amazing. Also the tour was supposed to be for 4 people but apparently a couple cancelled at the last minute, but rather than canceling the tour , Alex did the tour for just the two of us. This speaks volumes about his integrity and professionalism

Very good - Excellent tour to see a not so touristy part of Hong Kong and get away from the luxury of the island a little. The route is on foot but everything is quite close.

Food tour with Sinclair - Our food tour with Sinclair was the highlight of our few days in Hong Kong! His organization and communication with us prior to the actual tour put us at ease in a country that we do not know the language. Sinclair was a terrific guide, clearly knowledgeable about the best places to try the local food while touring the area. Highly recommend Sinclair as a guide, especially for the food tasting tour!

Great food tour experience at - The tour guide was superb — provided a great overview of not only history of local culture but took us to her favorite restaurants where we were treated very well. The guide shared a lot about the culture including how locals live. It was a great experience. Just the right amount of food— didn’t feel stuffed like on some other food tours. Although I am not a vegetarian— I appreciated those options.

Fabulous tour, history, culture and food! - Had a great tour around Kowloon. Saw where the locals live, shop and work. Lots of interesting information and history provided by our guide Sinclair and tasted some local food along with stopping for a light dinner of dim sum . I would definitely recommend this tour.

Excellent tour, poor communication on start time change. - Mel, our guide, was very good. But there was a problem since all my documentation said the start time was 4:15pm and we lost the first 30 minutes of the tour since we were not alerted to the change in time to 3:45pm.
