Rincon is thought to be the Caribbean’s oldest village. Hidden away from the sight of the roving pirates along the shore in the basin of the north hills. Visit the old traditional home, which has been turned into a cultural historic museum by the original family descendants. On your route back to the ship, you’ll leave Rincon and travel through the north-eastern desert-like region, which has gigantic cacti, wild donkeys, and pounding waves.

Great Bonaire tour for large or small groups - The excursion was passed onto us by others in our group. There were 10 of us in total and we had a great time. The guide and driver were very good unfortunatly I cannot remember their names and can't find them in my phone. She did say she has been on the island for 8 years. Her knowledge of the island, history and culture was very good doing tours it sometimes gets boring but not this one. I give the driver of the bus a lot of credit for managing the roads of Bonaire, he did an excellent job. If you don't want to break the bank with a ship excursion look into this tour you won't regret it.

Fun experience - It was a lovely tour, very informative. We felt very safe. It was a fun experience for all of us. We were going to stop at a beach on the way home, but we didn't...and it wasn't well communicated so we hadn't brought beach wear.

Nice way to see Bonaire and learn about the culture. - This was a wonderful and informative tour of Bonaire. Our tour guide, Sandra, was very knowledgeable of all things Bonaire; she was extremely pleasant to listen to and also very funny, which made the tour even more enjoyable. We visited the salt processing area of the island, which was very interesting, and got to bring home a sample of the salt. We learned much about the flora and fauna of Bonaire and had to stop the bus for 4 donkeys standing in the road! We also stopped at a local museum that had a house that you could walk through to see what life was like in Bonaire. What an interesting island. This was a 3 hour tour and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to see and learn about Bonaire.

Better have a large bladder - When I booked the tour it said 9 am. We got there at quarter till. The tour did not leave until after 9:30. We were at this port until 10pm and could have booked another tour. Glad we didn’t or we would have missed it. The worst part was this is a 3 hour tour, and most everyone needed to go to the bathroom. We were told there was one at 1000 steps. It was a portapottie which would have been fine, but it had been removed. There was finally a bathroom at the very last stop. Nobody got to see anything except the line for the bathroom.

Things happened. Which ended up being a good thing for us. - We had a reservation with Bonaji, to be picked up at 9:30. Our guide left without us & we were there early. Thanks to one of the other guides at the peir Elgin, he helped us, then took us on the tour. He was a life saver.
