- Brateak Krola Lake - The Secret Lake is an artificial reservoir that changes in size with the seasons. Constructed using forced labor during the Khmer Rouge era from 1970 to 1975, it has a rich history. (30-minute transport from Temple Cave)
- La Plantation - Located about 45 minutes from town, on the way to Kep, La Plantation Kampot Pepper Farm is one of Cambodia’s top pepper plantations. They offer free tours in English and French, including pepper tasting and a farm tour.
- Salt Fields - Salt production has a long history in the region, expanding significantly in the 1940s and 1950s. During the Khmer Rouge regime and the Cambodian Civil War, salt production was nationalized. In 1986, Kampot residents were granted 50 hectares of land to start private salt production.

Excellent tour - Excellent tour seeing the Kampot countryside. The temple in the cave was incredible - you pay a dollar for a local to guide you through. Our guide Tango was fantastic, very knowledgeable and went the extra mile ie: pulled us down some mangos from a nearby tree

Recommended! - Tang Go is a really nice guy who shows you amazing spots in around Kampot. He is also willing to make a detour or to go to cheaper places for food and drinks. Recommended!

Great Tuktuk Driver - Our Tuktuk driver Tang Go was so helpful and friendly throughout the entire day. He made sure we had a great trip, and took us to a lot of exciting places.

Dusty, beautiful, Cambodian countryside tour - I jumped into a group with some others from my hostel and Tango (like the dance) was very welcoming and had us all laughing before we even left for the tour. Great English and a wonderful guide. I even had a few requests to stop and take pictures and to change up our route and he happily did this for us. Would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a great half day trip!
As a note: allll of the roads are very dusty on this trip no matter what route you take so face masks, sunglasses, and long shirts are recommended

a must while in kampot! - we had the best day exploring kampot and kep with tang go! he showed us all around the countryside and salt flats! we saw so much in one day and so much we wouldn't have been able to see on our own! an absolute must do while you're in kampot! he provided so much information and was so kind and welcoming all day!
