Riding the bikes was so much more interesting, as you go past lots of locals homes - We got to watch the sunrise over a Ankor Wat temple before heading off to a local village for breakfast and pick up our bikes. We rode to 2 temples on bush tracks past lots of local villagers homes. The paths are sandy and a bit slippery so if you’re not confident it will be a bit of a challenge. It’s all mostly flat and the trees give you shade. Lots of break stops for water and fruit. Our guide Sambo was wonderful and very passionate about the temples we visited. The local lunch on the way home was very good quality.

Fantastic sunrise and bicycle tour with an amazing guide - The guide from Grasshopper tours, esp Bun Bath, was awesome! Super knowledgeable and knew the best spots to take pictures. Also taking a bicycle tour allowed us to see so much in so little time. This was an amazing tour, and I felt like it was also an amazing value. There was SO MUCH FOOD provided for you. Breakfast isn't until around 0700, but after that there's snack time around 1000 and then lunch time around 1200. The food was all so authentic and local and good. At Angkor Wat, you are likely to only go here once in your life, get a great guide like this tour comes with and make the most of it.

Fantastic experience with a great guide - Fantastic tour - very professionally run in all aspects. I was picked up from the hotel and driven to Angkor Wat where our guide for the day, Bunvath, secured for us an excellent position to see the sunrise over the temple. Throughout the tour he knew all the best places to be at the right time and takes a great photo too! I didn’t need to take selfies at all. We had good quality bikes, well maintained and the cycling between sites was straightforward and easy going. Breakfast and lunch were excellent, plenty of cold water was provided throughout the day and the whole day went very smoothly. Bunvath is a very informative guide and cares for his guests attentively which makes for an enjoyable experience.

Angkor Wat by bicycle is the way to go - This 8-hour adventure was the highlight of our Cambodia trip and a memory for life. We were greeted by our guide Sopat and our driver at our hotel at 4:30 am and went straight to Angkor Wat to claim a good spot to sit and wait for the sunrise. Sopat had stopped by a bakery and picked up some freshly baked pain chocolate for us to munch on while we waited - a lovely surprise. We then got an early start to see the main temple and learn all about the history from Sopat, who was a wealth of knowledge. After that, time for a tasty breakfast in a local village, a nice spread with freshly fried eggs, fresh fruits and everything else one could ask for. We then hopped on our bikes and set off on a mix of roads, paved bike paths and sandy dirt paths through the jungle. We made lots of stops at various palsves and other sights, each narrated by our very knowledgeable guide. We even got to bike on the ”great wall of Angkor”. Our driver met up regularly duting the tour and topped up our water bottles, provided cold towels so we could freshen. After an action-packed day we finished off with a delicious lunch and cold beer at another local restaurant. We were dropped off at our hotel happy, tired and full of both food and new impressions. We strongly recommend this tour and Sopat if you want to truly experience Angkor Wat.

One of our favorite adventures! - One of our favorite activities of our 3 week trip to SE Asia! Our guide was wonderful. Bikes were in great condition. We loved the adventure of riding through the jungle on a flat, easy single-track between sites. The food and people were amazing. if you like a day of both walking (around the sites) and biking, do it!

Amazing, informative tour with amazing host! - What a tour! Rambo Sambo was the BEST, most informed host and all round lovely guy. He knew all the best spots for pics too. The tour itself was great, very informative, and a lot to see, also so great bring in bikes and getting the ‘alternative’ tour that others don’t see. It was hot(!) but we were kept well hydrated and fed. Great quality of bike as well, new and well maintained. Highly recommend!

Wonderful, don’t miss it. - Excellent trip, that lasted about 11 hours in total. Our guide Mr Sambu (sorry if I spelled it incorrectly) was wonderful, so cheerful, and knowledgeable, and he know all the best spots for a photo. The temples are very interesting and the history of Cambodia rich and diverse. The bikes are new and well kept, but a definite level of fitness is needed. The breakfast, snacks and lunch delicious. A Great day.

Amazing and fun - We booked the 4.30am sunrise mountain bike tour with Grasshopper Adventures. Our guide was very knowledgeable, articulate and funny. He knew the right spot to wait for the sunrise and how to miss certain peak times @ temples to ensure the best viewing & photo opportunities. A brilliant way to see the temples on a bike winding through the forest (ahh the shade it gives). We are both casual bike riders (not mountain bikes) so we found the 23km easy & enjoyable, with stops for breakfast, lunch (delicious - take recommendations from guide) and fruit snack along with stops @ all temples.

Amazing - Seeing Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and many of the other temples is an exhilarating experience. But is such an experience when you have a tour guide as knowledgeable and passionate as Bunvath. I couldn’t have asked for more. It was a great mix of cycling around the temples and some of the more remote areas as well as an incredible history lesson. Bunvath is worth his weight in gold. The food I enjoyed on the tour was outstanding. This would be one of the best tours I have ever been on. I highly recommend coming to Siem Reap and if you do Grasshopper Adventures are brilliant. See if Bunvath is available because he is one of a kind.

Awesome experience - My husband and I very much enjoyed this tour. Chen, our guide, did a great job guiding us around and we always knew what to expect. The sunrise portion of this was very crowded with tourists and it was cloudy so we did not see much of the sunrise over the temple but what we did see was very pretty. For those of you who may be wondering if you can do this tour, my answer is yes, you can. I am 66 and my husband is 67 and we did not have difficulty on this tour. We did run into some sand and some mud, but it all ended well. Chen did a great job warning us when we were coming up on something to avoid. If you can ride a bike, you can do this tour. Breakfast was good, lunch was good, and the bike ride portion was fun.
