  • Khmer Tonics Spa by Shinta Mani - This morning, 9:30am meet your personal guide and driver and transfer to Shinta Mani Hotel for our private cooking classes. Start with a morning visit to one of the old markets, also known as the Psa Chas. Our Executive Chef will guide you through the market and teach you more about the local produce and herbs for the class. Ingredients that are typically used in Khmer cooking include turmeric, kafir lime leaves, ginger, lemongrass, dried chilli and galangal.

Following the visit to the market, guests will return to the hotel and start the class in a private space within Kroya. Each participant will receive this cook book featuring the four traditional Khmer dishes that will be created during the class. Dishes include mango salad, fish amok, beef sour soup and sticky rice dumplings. Once the meal has been prepped and cooked under the careful guidance of our Executive Chef, these delicious dishes will be enjoyed for lunch.

Your day begins at 9:30am when you will meet your personal guide and driver who will take you to Shinta Mani Hotel for an exclusive cooking class. Your culinary adventure commences with a morning exploration of Psa Chas, one of the city’s oldest markets. The class, led by our Executive Chef, will broaden your knowledge on local ingredients commonly used in Khmer cuisine such as turmeric, kafir lime leaves, ginger, lemongrass, dried chilli and galangal.

Post market visit, you’ll head back to the hotel where the cooking class will take place in a private section within Kroya. Each attendee will be given a cookbook filled with recipes of the four traditional Khmer plates that will be prepared during the session. These edible crafts include mango salad, fish amok, beef sour soup and sticky rice dumplings. After the step-by-step creation and cooking of the meals under the keen supervision of our Executive Chef, the delectable dishes will be served for lunch.
