Preah Vihear Temple - The most significance temple standing on the top of the mountain of Preah Vihear. The temple was built in 9th century, it stands as the largest single religious complex ever built during the pre Angkorian Era, as its exterior enclosure is approximately 5 square km.
Kor Ker Temple - Also known as the Lotus Pond temples, Koh Ker is a remote archaeological site in northern Cambodia about 207 kilometers away from Siem Reap and the ancient site of Angkor. It is a jungle filled region that is sparsely populated.

Start your tour at 6.30 am from your accommodation, you will have a little longer of car riding from Siem Reap to the temple of Preah Vihear. Experience this magnificent temple for few hours by walking around and inside the monument and learn the temple history from your guide. The temple is visited often by Cambodia’s current king, it stands as the largest single religious complex ever built during the pre Angkorian Era, Preah Vihear is a province which borders Thailand and Laos. From here, you can see the standing armies of the Thai and Cambodia nations as they watch each other. After visiting the temple, we’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant along the way to our next destination, Koh Ker temple.
Koh Ker is the biggest pyramid temple in Cambodia and it’s also known as the Lotus Pond temple, it is a remote archaeological site in northern Cambodia about 207 kilometers away from Siem Reap and the ancient site of Angkor.

2 day tour with John, driver to recommend - We did a short 2-day tour to the sites of Koh Ker and Preah Vihear. John was our driver. He is an excellent driver, very careful and above all very attentive, friendly and always smiling. He accompanied us to the sites and helped us when the terrain presented difficulties. The sites are quite far from Siem Reap but are well worth the detour. You wouldn't expect to find a pyramid in Cambodia. That of Koh Ker is exceptional, and you can climb to the top thanks to a secure facility. The Preah Vihear temple is at the top of a plateau but it is possible to rent a motorbike or 4x4
