Highlights
  • Angkor Wat - See Angkor Major Temples in a Day.
See All temples in one day around Angkor Complex is impossible in as there are more than 70 Ruins in this Angkor Archaeological Park. but what we are going to do and see is Different and of course we will not see them all, just Major Temples! Start First with Angkor Wat Temple.
  • Ta Prohm Temple - This is a famous temple by the film Tomb Raider.

Ta Prohm (prasat ta prohm) is the modern name of the temple at Angkor, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, built in the Bayon style largely in the late 12th and early 13th centuries and originally called Rajavihara. Located approximately one kilometre east of Angkor Thom and on the southern edge of the East Baray, it was founded by the Khmer King Jayavarman VII as a Mahayana Buddhist monastery and university. Unlike most Angkorian temples, Ta Prohm is in much the same condition in which it was found: the photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings have made it one of Angkor’s most popular temples with visitors. UNESCO inscribed Ta Prohm on the World Heritage List in 1992.

  • Ta Nei Temple - This is one of the hidden temple in this archeological park.
  • Ta Som - Ta Som temple is another temple around a big circle area of Angkor.
  • Angkor Thom South Gate - There are 5 main gates in Angkor Thom but we will see the hidden one call the gosht gate.
  • Terrace of the Elephants - We will pass this by and take a photos
  • Bayon Temple - The Bayon is a richly decorated Khmer temple at Angkor in Cambodia. Built in the late 12th or early 13th century as the state temple of the Mahayana Buddhist King Jayavarman VII, the Bayon stands at the centre of Jayavarman’s capital, Angkor Thom Following Jayavarman’s death, it was modified and augmented by later Hindu and Theravada Buddhist kings in accordance with their own religious preferences.

The Bayon’s most distinctive feature is the multitude of serene and smiling stone faces on the many towers which jut out from the upper terrace and cluster around its central peak.[3] The temple has two sets of bas-reliefs, which present a combination of mythological, historical, and mundane scenes. The main conservatory body, the Japanese Government Team for the Safeguarding of Angkor (the JSA) has described the temple as “the most striking expression of the baroque style” of Khmer architecture, as contrasted with the classical style of Angkor Wat.

  • Pre Rup - Pre Rup was dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, and it is probably located on a former shiva ashram, built by Yasovarman I in the previous century.[6] Perhaps it was standing at the center of a new capital city built by Rajendravarman, with the southern dike of East Baray as northern city limit, but nothing of the dwellings survived[6] and this “eastern city hypothesis” by Philippe Stern was never confirmed by archeological discoveries.
  • Preah Khan - This is one of the best temples outside of Angkor Thom but the temple is one of the most visited apart from Angkor Wat Temple.
  • Neak Pean - This is another beautiful temple around the big circle of Angkor.

Perfection - Oh my goodness, what an experience! My second trip to Siem Reap, this time I brought my 82yo dad. I re-booked Lux having used him on our last trip. He’s nothing short of amazing. Two days - he adjusted our agenda for what my dad could cope with. He is extremely knowledgeable but doesn’t bombard you with info. Just perfect. We visited the main temples in the Angkor Wat park, also some smaller less-known ones (my faves!). Also visited the Tonle Sap lake. He took us to lovely local places for coffee breaks and lunches. Can’t wait to return. And will definitely be booking Lux again!

Wonderful visit at Angkor Wat Temples with our great guide Lux. - It was our second visit to Angkor Wat abd we wanted it to be different. We knew Lux from our previous trip where we did the Siem Reap city tour. We discussed our expectations with him and he proposed a one day tour taking this consideration. Lux is very knowledgeable, friendly and flexible guide. He knew the very details of the temples in Bantey Srei and Angkor. He was always there to provide appropriate information and attentive to our remarks. We had an extraordinary day with him.

Great Tour Experience - We used Lux and a driver for a tour of the major temples. We did not want to see the sunrise so Lux suggested a sunset to finish, which worked really well for us. Also, we had friends with us that have limited mobility and Lux was able to obtain permission to get our vehicle across the more and right up to Angkor Eat which was "above & beyond" expectations. Consequently, we would very highly recommend Lux and all his knowledge.

Very Special Sunrise tour of Angkor Wat - This was an excellent tour. Our guide, Heang, was brilliant--encyclopedic memory of Hindu and Buddhist pantheons of gods and iconography, and a passionate way of recounting the myths and philosophies behind them. The vehicle was very comfortable, tour was well paced, with breaks from the hot sun, and Heang was flexible and accomodated to our interests and needs. Highly recommended.
