A wonderful-but hot- day at Ephesus with Esra - Really nice time seeing ancient Ephesus with our great guide Esra. Be warned - Ephesus is HOT! Sun hats, water, or an umbrella are critical!

Nisha Shendrikar - This tour was perfect. Just the right amount of time to see the two most important sites without getting overwhelmed. And our guide, Rita was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic throughout the whole tour sharing little tidbits about the buildings that we would never have gotten from the audio tour.

Excellent Ephesus visit...recommend - Booking was really straightforward and kept informed all the time. Met at port by the lovely Esra who was very passionate about both her history and her country. We were a small group of only 4 which made it an almost private tour. On arrival at Ephesus, Esra showed us, and explained the history of several of the monument remains whilst reminding us to watch our footing as the marble paving stones can be quite slippy. The small bus which we travelled in was very comfortable and the driver kept us topped up with cold water. All in all, a very enjoyable day and one I'd recommend

Amazing Ephasus! - This was the most amazing trip! We didn’t realise the scale of the city of Ephasus and its history. It was absolutely memorable! Nor did we know about Artemis, so visiting the Temple was also very interesting. Close to the Basilica of St John. Made even more so by the wonderful Esra, our tour guide, who was so knowledgable! Even answering our questions with patience! 🤣. She was so personable and an absolute delight! We would recommend this trip to anyone who loves history! However, wear good shoes, take water and wear a hat in the summer!

Great length tour - Very good half day trip. Was extremely hot and no shade so prepare yourself with water, sun cream, fan, water spray etc. Our tour started at the top and we walked downhill all the way which was good. Drink shop at the bottom nr the library area. Our guide Olg was very nice, full of information, took photos for us and helpful. We then popped to a leather shop and had a fashion show (which was OK but a bit awkward). Then we got took back to port where we had got on. Thankyou, was fun x

If you are going to visit Ephesus, take the Tour with Get your Guide and do it with Tour Alkimtour - Very good pick up service from and to the Izmir airport and from there the entire tour to Ephesus. Our Guide, a very prepared person who spoke more than 4 languages, gave us enough time to shop and take photos. Thank you Andres and Omar for allowing us to have such a nice experience in Ephesus. I would go back to them again without a doubt.

Knowledgeable tour guide who provided personal descriptions of our surroundings; she clearly loves her country, Turkey - The tour guide was knowledgeable and I enjoyed her personal descriptions of our surroundings in Kusadasi; she clearly loves her country, Turkey, and it's infectious and informative, especially for someone who is unfamiliar with the basic economical, geographical, and demographic aspects of the country. My party left the cruise ship and unexpectedly found ourselves in the middle of high season, so the port was extremely busy with travelers from Greece. Several members from the Shore Excursions company tour kindly united us with the tour group despite the hectic crowds. At last we got on our shuttle and in 30 minutes we arrived at our first destination, the temple is Artemis, which was peaceful with a handful of people before the cruise crowds would arrive. We were a party of less than 10 people and the tour felt more personable than a larger tour group would. After that we went to the highlight, Ephesus. One tip: check the excursion description; this particular tour does not include the price of admission to the Ephesus ruins and museum. We paid 40€ each; the booth only accepts lira but we were able to pay with credit card. The ruins were extremely crowded but the tour guide successfully guided us throughout the 1 hour and 45 minute walking tour and regaled us with historical tidbits that can't be found on plaques or signage. I especially enjoyed her description of the history of the library of Celsius and the preparation of papyrus or book material; also I appreciated her putting a modern perspective showing how cosmopolitan Ephesus was at the time and also putting into perspective gender dynamics, especially around female rights, where Artemis was revered yet women could not do basic things like perform in theater. Ephesus must be seen to be believed; it's incredible that one can walk through the actual ruins and explore the city itself. Finally we ended the tour at the Ephesus museum which has a 3D tour, which is very dramatized without much facts but it's a quick respite from the heat in a flash bang air conditioned light show experience. On the ride back to the port the tour guide continued to describe our surroundings and gave us recommendations where to have lunch.
