- Meryemana (The Virgin Mary’s House) - Our first visit is The House of Virgin Mary is located on the Aladag Mountains 5 miles away from Ephesus. At the third Ecumenical Council on 431 AD in Ephesus, it was claimed that Mary came to Ephesus with St. John in 37 A.D. and lived there until her death in 48 A.D. After the discovery of the house, the Archbishop of Izmir declared there as a place of pilgrimage in 1892. On July 26, 1967, Pope Paul VI visited this place and prayed there. Than 10 min drive to Ephesus upper gate.
- Ancient City of Ephesus - We will start visiting one of the main highlights in Turkey, Ephesus, one of the 12 cities of Ionian League (an ancient Greek district on the western coast of Asia Minor) is located near Izmir. As a port city it was a major departure point for trade routes into Asia Minor. Walk through history along marble streets lined with wonderful public buildings, among them the Baths of Scholastica, the Library of Celsus; it was built in the beginning of the 2nd century A.D. by Gaius Julius Aquila to be a memorial to his father Gaius Julius Celsus Polemanus, the proconsul of Province of Asia. , the Temple of Hadrian and The Grand Theater are two of the most impressive buildings in Ephesus. Grand theatre was built in 3rd century B.C and it was later expanded to 24.000 spectators by the Romans in the 1st century A.D.
- The Temple of Artemis - We will stop at Artemission Temple where used to be one of the seven wonders of the ancient world as our last stop before drive back to Kusadasi town center and port. The end of our services. Entrance fees are not included in this program. Total entrances are around 17-USD which can be paid to our guide at the end of the tour in cash . If you want to pay by visa or master card, our guide will stop for a few minutes in our office where is on the way to port.
- Setur Kusadasi Marina Carsi - Driveback to Kusadasi port through Setur Marina
- Kusadasi - Free time in city center or drop off at the port

Great taste of Turkey - Great things to see with great organization. Guide Hugo was brilliant. Ephesus and Virgin Mary are great sights to visit

Emrey our wonderful tour guide - Emrey was our guide during our tour and we couldn't have anyone better. He thoroughly explained the history of locations we visited and we could tell how passionate he was about his culture. He also took us to a rug and leather factory which was such a wonderful experience, our group purchased various items. We asked him where we should have lunch to truly experience the local fare and he recommended we eat at the restaurant located at the rug co-op. It was such a great meal that our group kept raving about it! This tour was one of the highlights of our European tour and we believe it was because of Emrey. We don't think it would have been the same experience had it been anyone else. We highly recommend him as your your guide for future bookings!!

Unexpectedly wonderful excursion. Really enjoyed! - Amazing experience! Didn’t have high expectations based on pictures and the hot weather, but boy was I wrong. It was an amazing tour with our tour guide, Mray. He gave us early Christian History and helped us beat the crowds. He was experienced and knowledgeable about early Christian history. He gave us the option to go shopping at local artisan shops like Turkish rug factory, leather goods store and took us to a local Turkish restaurant. It was an amazing time and the food was spot on! We ended up buying more than we expected but we got great deals with high quality materials. This excursion was a highlight for our trip!

Great tour around Ephesus for cruisers - Ersan was a great guide. Took us all over Ephesus with great narrative and even stopped at a ceramic shop on the way back with beautiful pottery and coffee

Perfect for highlights! - Informative and entertaining. Our guide was very friendly and she knew how to avoid the crowds and give all the highlights. I could not recommend more. Bus driver was also courteous and professional. Bus was A/C and very comfortable.

GREAT TOUR AND THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THE EXPERIENCE - There were only 4 of us on our tour and we were picked up from Kusadasi port as we arrived on a cruise ship.
Our guide was Tariq who was very friendly and informative throughout our trip - we could not have wished for a better guide.
It was interesting to see the last place of residence of the Virgin Mary and the time we stayed was just about right. However, when we saw Ephesus we were blown away. This is a must see site when visiting Turkey. It is quite large and there is plenty to see and for us ranked equally with Petra in Jordan. There is so much that has been uncovered and you would need a full day to do it all justice.
Overall a great day out with a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Highly recommended. The transport was first class, clean and comfortable.
