Highlights
  • Travel Yamu Experience at Malaysia - Meet and greet your friendly English-speaking driver at your hotel lobby or meeting point at 7.30 PM and proceed for the tour
  • Thean Hou Temple - Thean Hou Temple is one of the oldest and largest temples in Southeast Asia. Southwest of the city, it is a popular tourist attraction and is located along Jalan Klang Lama. Overlooking the Federal highway, the six-tiered Buddhist temple is also known as the Temple of the Goddess of Heaven.

Dedicated to Tian Hou, a goddess said to protect fishermen, the temple is also a shrine where many come to worship Guan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy. Built by KL’s Hainanese community in 1894, it is set on a hill and offers wonderful views of the city.

  • Little India Brickfields - Little India Brickfields is a vastly different world than nearby Bangsar. Brickfields is Malaysia’s official Little India and used to be a simple residential neighbourhood just outside KL but was recently transformed into a wide street with Indian stores and restaurants run by the country’s Indian community.

The shops here sell everything from traditional Indian goods such as saris, flower garlands, spices and Bollywood music, to local delicacies such as vadai, thosai (Indian pancakes made from fermented rice flour) and more. Since its transformation, Little India Brickfields has turned into one of KL’s trademark tourist hotspots not only because of the wares found here but for its proximity to KL Sentral station.

  • Istana Negara - Istana Negara is Malaysia’s National Palace. Built in 1928, it is located along Jalan Istana and the 13-acre castle used to be the official residence of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King) of Malaysia. In June 2011, it was replaced by a new, extravagant RM800 million palace near Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur.

Like the old palace, the RM800 million complex is not open to the public. Visitors are only able to catch a glimpse of the magnificent and ostentatious complex along Jalan Duta from outside its entrance gates. Works for the construction of the new castle began in mid-2007, with the palace fully completed in June 2011.

  • Perdana Botanical Garden - Tun Abdul Razak Heritage Park offers hours of fun activities and sightseeing opportunities for just about any visitor, from nature lovers to families with little ones. More commonly known as Lake Gardens, this sprawling 227-acre park is located right in the middle of Kuala Lumpur and is reachable via buses, taxis and KTM rail services. The park is open every day between 07:00 and 20:00 and, while it’s free to enter, you are required to pay an entrance fee when visiting certain landmarks within the grounds.

One of the largest urban parks in the city centre, it was originally established by the 19th century British state treasurer to Malaya, Alfred Venning, in the 1890s. Among the most significant landmarks in the park, the majestic Carcosa Seri Negara – the official residence of former British government representative Frank Swettenham – is located on one of the park’s hills. Over the last 20 years, the park’s spectacular landscaping has become more impressive.

  • Lake Symphony - In this spectacular fountain scene, dozens of water jets in the park’s artificial lake will shoot up in the air, and colorful beams of light dance through the water. The harmony of water and bright colors make the scene more sparkling and radiant. With two fountains with an intelligent display of water, the Symphony Lake has five programs with 380 individually sequence defects of water that shoot up to a maximum height of 42 m.

While waiting for the show to start around 8pm, you can enjoy shopping at the nearby Suria KLCC, housing over 320 high-end local and international retailers, brands represented include Coach, Kate Spade and Jimmy Choo. But, don’t forget to get back to Lake Symphony to catch the KLCC fountain water show!!

  • The River of Life - Conclude your night tour with a visit to The River of Life Kuala Lumpur which has been listed in world’s top 10 Waterfront Districts by The Independent, United Kingdom’s online news portal, recently. Equipped with a Dancing Symphony Fountain, Blue Corridor, fog and lighting effects, visitors can expect a stunning visual experience when visiting this stretch of riverfront at the heart of KL. Arrive here around 9pm to catch the show which occur every 15 minutes until 10pm.

Lights in the city - Our tour guide Rajan picked us up on time. As we had already seen a few of the places he suggested we go to, our first stop was River of Life. We had been there in the daytime bit not at night & it looked spectacular. Our next stop was KLCC lights & that was cool as well as seeing the Petrona Towers lit up. We then visited the mall & had something to eat before Rajan dropped us back at our hotel. Rajan was very knowledgeable and a good tour guide. We would recommend him to any first time travellers to KL.

KL comes alive at night! - Our tour guide was Steven, he picked us up early, clean car, safe driving, really friendly and informative. Took us to all the stops listed and give us history and interesting information before each stop. Time for photo opportunities. The Lake of symphony show is every half hour (about a ten minute show) very colourful and magical, really nice way to end the tour. Just one tip, The lake light show is just in front of Petronas towers at KLCC park, it is free for all so can get very busy, recommend sitting on the edge of the water rather than the steps around as lots of people tend to block views. Overall great tour and guide

KLCC Symphony of Lughts - Prompt tour guide. Very informative on KL knowledge and sights we were taken too. Easy friendly driver. Gave us a lot of extra info on other tours which we did also thanks to him. Wasn’t rushed at any stop. Worth the money.

Excellent experience ! - Khanan was great, really gave us a local experience. Highly recommend doing this tour to give you an idea of the area so you know where you want to spend more time on your trip. Our guide was friendly, flexible, patient, and kind! We saw many great places! Definitely read about the Malaysian King’s Palace, the Thean Hou Temple, and the Colonial walk before heading on the tour so you can really take in the scene and sites when you get the opportunity to walk around on your own! Our guide had to stay with the car because parking was limited, but he did his best to give us an idea of what we were about to see during the drive to each area.

Ok, for what it costs - Not exactly what I was expecting of the title. But ok for what it was. Of course if this was your first tour of KLCC and the surrounding areas you might be a little lost, but definitely you need to do a night tour at least once.

Relaxing - Watching the show is relaxing. A bit humid but still enjoyable. It is just annoying that you have peddlers are coming to sell the selfie stick every 5 minutes ...
