On this tour you will get the opportunity to see orphan aged Elephant learn about the conservation of the elephant and also watch a 30 minute National Geographic documentary. Experience the limestone cave of the Batu Caves on the way to elephant sanctuary.
• Batu Caves - Batu Caves is a limestone hill that has a series of caves and cave temples in Gombak, Selangor. The limestone forming Batu Caves is said to be around 400 million years old. Some of the cave entrances were used as shelters by the indigenous Temuan people (a tribe of Orang Asli).

The cave is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, and is dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is the focal point of the Hindu festival of Thaipusam in Malaysia.

Batu Caves in short also referred as 10th Caves or Hill for Lord Muruga as there are six important holy shrines in India and four more in Malaysia. The three others in Malaysia are Kallumalai Temple in Ipoh, Tanneermalai Temple in Penang and Sannasimalai Temple in Malacca.

Keeping your eyes open to be aware of the monkeys. Don’t feed them!

• Pahang - Pahang is the largest state in Peninsular Malaysia. It’s known for its mountains range of Titiwangsa. Pahang is also largest producer of timber in this country. You also have the opportunity to see the rubber plantation on the way.
• Lanchang - The Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservation Centre is situated in Lanchang. This is the main attraction of this small town apart from agriculture and the many FELDA projects of both rubber and palm oil plantations. You also will be driving pass the aborigines bamboo huts & their re-located houses.
• Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary - Back in 1989, the Malaysian Wildlife Sanctuary established an elephant sanctuary within the Krau Wildlife reserve for rare Asian Elephants.

These elephants were displaced due to the continued poaching and logging for urban and agricultural development within the area. This conservation method was initiated to preserve the species, care for the young before they’re released to the wild.

Watch a 30 minute National Geographic documentary about conservation & re-location of the elephants. Malaysian Wildlife also promote their advocacy and conservation efforts to gather support.
