Sacred Monastery with Yana - Our guide was Yana, she is a real professional! We learned a lot about the caves, temples and the life of the monks of this place. I must admit, it was a little scary to go a few meters underground. For those who are claustrophobic, I don't recommend doing this. And the rest will see the coffins of monks that are thousands of years old. The tour does not last long - only a couple of hours, but we really enjoyed getting in touch with the history of this sacred place. Be sure to climb the bell tower and visit the microminiature museum as well.

Visit to the monastery with Anastasia - Lavra is definitely the main attraction of Kiev. We really liked the tour with the guide Anastasia, she also showed the sights near the Lavra and the recently restored Temple. Of course, most of all, we were impressed by the mummies and skulls in the caves. After the tour, Anastasia showed us a wonderful restaurant with not trivial Ukrainian cuisine. In general, instead of a 2-hour tour, we spent 6 hours because the weather, guide and mood were amazing.

Not only a fascinating tour of the monastery but a lot of background about the emergence of today's Ukraine - Our tour guide was Anastasia. She was a fabulous guide to the history of both the monastery and of the memorial parks through which we walked on the way. She met our party of 4 at our hotel and organised car transport to the Mother and Child Monument. We had a fact filled walk through the parkland past the monument to the unknown solider and the Holodor monument on our way to the Monastery. Once there, Anastasia again was hugely knowledgeable and the two hours for the whole tour just flew by. She was even kind enough to send us some local restaurant and bar recommendations (which we used and were delighted with). An excellent morning.

Not really worth it - To be honest I had higher expectations. Guide was nice but it was not a great tour except for the fact of seeing the "spots" you are supposed to. We were always in a hurry and many photo spots were missed. Also, not very specific facts during the tour. You could probably do the same by yourself using Google Lens to walk you through it.
