Best Biking Tour in Kyoto! - My wife and I were really excited for this tour until we found out it was an hour drive from where embarked on our cruise, and it would cost us upwards of $150 USD one way to get to the starting point. I messaged Cycle Kyoto and they not only responded quickly, but suggested alternative ways to get there. We ended taking the transit which ended up costing us roughly $15 USD. When we arrived, all the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They set us up in our bikes and let us prep for the bike ride. The tour guide, Mayco, was amazing! She was so friendly and was an excellent guide that taught us a lot about the Kyoto area, country symbolism’s, and the rich history. She was very accommodating to the group of wanting to see specific areas of the tour and made sure the group was comfortable on the ride by providing enough hydrates. The tour included a lunch. The lunch was honestly amazing, which consisted of a Japanese conveyer belt system. The sushi provided was spectacular and delicious. I’d be lying if I said I would never be back, next time I was in town. Overall, the experience was exceptional and there is nothing I can think of that could be make it better. Getting a bike tour with... - Getting a bike tour with Mayko felt well-planned and proved to be a perfect introduction to Kyoto. She engaged us with the traditions of the city and individual sites and further discussed their influences in current Japanese culture. The route felt safe even for riders like myself who had not ridden for years on end. The destinations were paced to keep us enjoying the bike ride between memorable destinations. Even after returning, I still think of the charming repairs of historic Nishi Honganji and how such visible mending makes the experience more endearing. At the day's end, I was pleased with how much ground we covered, curious to see the rest of the sites, and eager to explore Japan throughout the rest of the vacation.

Really good biking trip - This was a really enjoybale experience. Tour guide Indra had good pacing and gave us really in depth explanations of the tourist attractions. The lunch was also very delicious.

Such a fantastic day! - It was a blast time for me. Although I've been to Kyoto so many time, I was able to learn a lot about Kyoto. Thank you guys made my day, especially Akira. I really recommend you guys, if someone want to travel Kyoto and learn history of Kyoto.

Experience Kyoto by bike - Super tur. Our guide, Jay, who was both knowledgeable and very pleasant, adapted the journey of 20 kilometers in 35 degrees heat, so that there were plenty of water and rest breaks, and so that everyone in our group (7 people between 17-75 years) had a really good trip through several of Kyoto’s interesting neighborhoods and sightseeing places.

Enjoyable ride through the streets of Kyoto - Karl our guide, was a character :) He was very, very knowledgeable. Had alot of questions thrown at him and always had answers full of details. The tour was full of great stops and very nice lunch. The biking was harder than expected but you just get through it and sleep well after. Met some great friends who we've reconnected with since. Overall, a great tour that I'd highly recommend.

The best tour to experience Kyoto - I was able to explore the wonderful Things to do in Kyoto with my wonderful Guide Jules! The course is also safe to ride. I also want to experience other tours when I come to Kyoto.

Wonderful way to explote Kyoto - What a wnderful way to explore Kyoto. Visiting temples and shrines is not really the favorite passtime for our teen age boys, but doing it with an expert, funny guide while riding bikes through Kyoto made it a great experience. The sites were beautiful, the stories wonderful and the cycling was very comfortable and safe.
