A fantastic day! - The best day trip! Our guide Paul was perfect! Funny, knowledgeable, entertaining and easy going. It was a pleasure and educational and fun seeing the sights of Kyoto with him.
It was a very hot day and after a while the heat was getting to me, so Paul was flexible and substituted one sight he thought wasn't super worth seeing for a swim in the local river, all locals no tourists. Just what was needed!
The biking was fun, not too hard, and on quiet backstreets and lanes so cars were never an issue.
This is the perfect way to combine sightseeing, learning about local history and customs, and a fun bike ride.
Don't hesitate. Take this trip!!!

Amazing Action-Packed Day in Kyoto - We had an amazing time on our full-day biking tour with Cycle Kyoto! Our tour guide, Jay, was so knowledgeable about the history and rich culture of the area. He navigated us through Kyoto and its many World Heritage sites with ease and made sure we all felt safe and comfortable throughout the journey. It was a particularly hot day and Jay always ensured we had enough water and sustenance to keep us going.
Jay also created a great energy within the group that made the day super fun. We really enjoyed getting to know all of our fellow travelers! We would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to see as much of Kyoto as they can on a short timeframe. Incredible experience!!!

Perfect way to start our trip and see the major sites - Sean was a great tour guide! His knowledge of the history of each temple and shrine was informative and interesting.
The weather was really hot and humid, and he went out of his way to make sure that we stayed hydrated. He even picked us up some electrolytes. He took care of us!
There were nine of us on the tour, and everyone was really nice and friendly. It was a fun group of people.
The itinerary was super cool, the ratio of biking to walking and enjoying the sites was pretty balanced. I would do this tour again however I would not do it at the end of July. The only downside to the tour was the heat and humidity.
Thank you to Sean for all of his knowledge and showing us around this beautiful city! It was a great way to start off our Kyoto vacation.

Awesome tour and tour guide! - Wow! This was an incredible tour with an incredible guide! We started with a briefing of what we were about to see, were given bikes that fit our height and started off on our ride. The stops were about 5 to 10 minutes apart and there were plenty of breaks for water (which was given to us) and information. Our guide Jaime was extremely knowledgeable and put a lot of care into his explanations. We stopped for lunch (which was provided) and every effort was made to meet our dietary restrictions. We ended the day back at the shop with a deeper understanding of Kyoto and appreciation for the culture.

Great day with Julian - Great day with Julian exploring Kyoto. Was hot but lots of fun and we saw some great sites and rode through some cool neighborhoods. Julian is knowledgeable and super customer oriented. He even stopped at an immigration office for us as we had a question we needed answered there! LOL

Friendly guide but little info about the sights - Friendly guide but told very little. Especially while cycling no info whatsoever and did not pay attention to the safety of the participants. Just cycled his route and barely looked up or down. The lunch he took us to was amazing!
