Fun cooking class! - Had the best time at this cooking class. To me food is the best way to learn about a culture and they do a great job sharing the history of the dishes. It’s a fun day!

Highly recommended for beginner and avid cooks alike! - Absolutely incredible! The chefs were knowledgeable, funny, and incredibly welcoming. There was a range of experience with cooking in the class and everyone was able to follow along and make some very tasty and visually appealing dishes. I'm a pretty avid cook and I'm really excited to experiment with the new flavour combinations (and utensils) I've learned from this class. This was my favourite activity in Kyoto!

Tasty learning experience in Kyoto! - This was an amazing experience! My partner and I had a private lesson, which was a great way to go. I am a pretty experienced home cook and love to cook a variety of different foods at home, and still learned so much about certain Japanese cooking techniques and tips. Momo was very friendly, gave us so much great information about the dishes and also Japanese cuisine in general. She was patient and the kitchen was clean and other staff was friendly. She even offered a list of her recommended restaurants in the area, which we went to and were delicious (and we were able to recognize some of the Japanese cooking basics we learned at the restaurants which was cool!) I'm so excited to try these techniques at home! Would highly recommend this experience.

Fun for the whole family - Highly recommend this experience for anyone who enjoys eating and/or cooking. I did this class with my family (ages range from 12 to mid-70s) and everyone had an awesome time. We made 6 dishes plus stock. The menu and class were very well planned, instruction was clear, and the food was delicious. It’s a great option if you’re looking for a fun hands-on group activity.

Exceeds Expectations, Wonderful! - This experience far exceeded our expectations! The food was delicious, and we were taught how to make 6 different and unique dishes. The staff was on point and would clean or deliver ingredients without us realizing it. We had a lot of fun! I would do another class next time I visit Japan.

Typical cuisine of Kyoto - The course lasted about 3 hours, during which we prepared, under the guidance of 2 ladies, 6 typical dishes: pumpkin soup, cucumber salad, meatballs, fried chicken and lotus rolls, matcha dessert. Once we arrived we washed our hands, they gave us an apron and made us sit in the assigned station. The atmosphere was pleasant, even if the air conditioner was not able to keep the temperature adequate. However, we were more than satisfied with the experience.
