Great 1 Day in Kyoto Tour - Naoko was a wonderful guide. She was extremely knowledgeable about all the sites we visited. We learned so much and covered more than we had expected. So glad we booked this tour, as we would have never been able to see as much, or get as much detailed information as we did if we had tried to this on our own. Highly recommend, as it was well worth it!

Best way to see Kyoto! - I have taken many, many trips and tours with Viator. This was the BEST experience I've ever had with them!! Run, don't walk to book this wonderful day. Our guide, Kazuhiro-san, was absolutely astounding. His knowledge of each place, the history of Japan, his expert guidance in helping us through the transit system (we took taxis, trains, and teams), all keeping us on schedule without feeling rushed, was without peer. Keep in mind, this is a LONG day and we walked 20,000 steps according to my Fitbit in 97° heat. We were utterly exhausted at days end. But in return, we had a private tour with a personable, knowledgeable guide, perfectly fluent in English, who really gave us his knowledge and experience. We saw 5 extraordinary sights and had the best lunch I have ever had (not included, but Kaz helped us find a beautiful Waygu beef restaurant near the bamboo forest). So much nicer than being herded on a tour bus with dozens of your best friends. Great value--I can't say enough about this trip.

Kyoto in one day with Seiya👍🏻 - Our guide Seiya was fantastic. He was informative beyond just the sights and he shared a great knowledge of Japanese history, culture, and society. Highly recommended!

Exactly what we wanted. - We had a wonderful day on our walking tour with Satomi. She was very knowledgeable and took us exactly where we wanted to go. Never rushed us, took some lovely group photos. Would highly recommend.

Best Kyoto Tour - Our guide Naoko was terrific. She shared so much information with us and showed us all of the best sights of Kyoto. I would definitely recommend this tour. It’s a great way to see all of the top sights in a short amount of time. It saved us lots of time trying to figure out how to get from place to place.

Kyoto in a nutshell - This tour was perfect to see the highlights of this amazing city. Our guide Hironori san was very knowledgeable and his personality made this trip very enjoyable. Kyoto is a city which has innumerable beautiful temples, shrines and other places of interest and needs a lot of time to cover everything. This tour really helped to highlight the major ones which gave the very good overview. Hiro san helped us to understand the best transportation mode to travel through the city. His exuberance and willingness to make our day special was palpable and we truly appreciated it. Although, it rained for a few hours during the tour, but we did not care as we were having so much fun. Hiro san also took us to an amazing restaurant where we ate the best udon. Would recommend this tour to anyone looking to see Kyoto in a nutshell and doesn’t want to miss the main attractions.

Koichi is amazing! - Koichi was a truly amazing guide, he was so knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and kept us at a fantastic pace. We saw so many wonderful sights and navigated Kyoto beautifully. I highly recommend this tour and Koichi as a guide.

Comprehensive Tour - Kyoto has a lot of attractions (thousands of temples and hundreds of shrines) so you are faced with the problem of what to visit if you have limited time. It was great to see a one-day tour which would visit our musts in our Kyoto list: Fushimi Inari, the Golden Pavilion, Arashiyama bamboo grove, Ryoan Ji and Gion. We had a fantastic licensed guide, Noriko, who provided the needed context to the sites we visited. Her pacing was perfect. We covered all the stops in the itinerary and had fun experiencing public transportation (combination of subways, trams and taxi) in Kyoto. We would have wasted a lot of time going on our own and missed learning the interesting histories and backgrounds of the sites we visited. Thank you Noriko for an enjoyable and thorough tour!

Yeah to Kyoto - Loved the city! Lot's of exciting things to see! I wish our tour guide was a little bit more interactive. It may be a language barrier but I wanted a story teller vs someone who only provided answers when asked

Worst for - I feel extremely cheated for this tour. I was charged close to £100 each yet I could have conducted the tour myself with only£15 each. I was expecting a conducted tour but instead I got the guide who took us from station to station where I paid my own fares in the extreme heat. Had it been the taxi paid for by the company then money well paid. The nothing wrong with the guide but this trip is nowhere near £100. People should do this trip on their own. I demand refund from the company on this tour.
