Join Cycle Kyoto for a morning bike tour around south Kyoto’s most beautiful locations. Stay safe riding on quiet backstreets, explore the mighty Fushimi Inari Shrine as well as a host of specially selected locations.
Starts with a visit to the temples of central Kyoto before following the Takase Canal and Kamo River into Gion. After weaving through the backstreets of Kyoto’s famous geisha and teahouse district, we head up to the spectacular Tofukuji Temple for pictures. We then roll down to the other side of the slope and straight into Fushimi Inari Shrine (The most visited attraction in Japan!). After a stroll around the famous orange Torii gates, we head home.
- Riders must be at least 13 years old and be comfortable riding a bike

Great family tour with Quinn - Fantastic tour. Quinn was a great host. Pre tour communication was excellent as well. Been on other cycle tours and this was the best in Japan. They did really well accommodating my 4 year old in a chariot and made a special ice cream stop which was appreciated. Quinn was great.

best way to explore the city - Cycling around flat Kyoto is probably The best way to explore the city! Friendly for kids and safe, you should definitely put it in your plan. Our guide was fun and helpful, giving us great insight on how it feels living in the city.

Relaxed bike ride on a hot summer day! - We booked a 1/2 day 9:00AM tour with my wife and daughter. We upgraded to electric assisted bikes for 3,000 Yen. This was especially beneficial since it was high 30s Celsius and high humidity.
My wife doesn't enjoy riding on busy streets so this was perfect. Shaune, our guide was excellent and provided us with cool drinks before and along the ride. We were especially lucky to catch a 3 day time sighting of Maiko and Geiko in Gion.
The company takes pictures of their clients and posts photos of your trip which you can download later. We would definitely sign up again!
