Give this a Go - My daughter and I had a brilliant evening! Austin took us around the farm, and educated us on so many plants, some of which he picked for the meal. He showed us how to prepare and cook the ingredients, and we had a delicious meal. One of my best experiences in Costa Rica. Thanks.

Super recommended! - Beautiful experience, super recommended! The cooking class begins with a tour of the farmhouse where Austin introduced us to animals and different species of plants and fruits that are not found in Italy! After picking some fruits for the lesson, we started preparing with Melanie the Ceviche, Arroz with Chicken and the empanadas: Melanie is a very good cook but above all she and Austin made the experience very fun and personal by revealing some secrets of Costa Rican cuisine! Highly recommended experience for a different afternoon in La Fortuna!

A homemade family meal in La Fortuna - After an informative tour of the farm, getting to sample some fruits right off the tree, drinking pure cane syrup, and petting goats and pigs, we worked together as a group to prepare a lovely meal of empanadas, ceviche, guacamole, and chicken with rice. Our chef and guide, Austin, was fun to be around and a great host. Highly recommend, just do it, absolutely great for families with teenage kids. Young kids may get impatient because it’s not a rushed event.

Experience Tico Cuisine by the locals. Fantastico! - I have wanted to experience Tico cuisine since we arrived in Costa Rica 15 months ago. No matter who you ask about preparation the stories were conflicting. so, we were traveling to La Fortuna for the weekend, what a perfect time for an authentic Tico cooking class. Austin, our guide through the garden to the table was nothing short of educational and exciting. We were a small class of 3 but we got plenty from it. Now, time to practice - especially the pressing of the Empanada dough. The next time I am in La Fortuna - we will do this class again. I recommend for anyone, any age.

MUST Do if you love food and cooking! - AMAZING experience! This was a favorite highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. My kids (9 and 11) loved walking around the farm and learning about the different plants and trees, and we all loved the cooking class. It was an experience we will never forget. And it was delicious! We made ceviche, chicken rice, patacones, and empanadas. The entire team was so friendly and nice. Thanks for a wonderful time. HIGHLY recommend!
