- La Tigra - The trail will go around the mirrored lakes to the frog sanctuary, which is an area dedicated to the regeneration and natural reproduction of frog species. Here you will discover a large amount of species such as the dart frog and the bull frog, the smallest and largest species in Costa Rica, as well as the spectacular Red Eyed Tree Frog, and the beautiful Glass Frog. After the tour, a delicious Costa Rican dinner prepared on a wood burning stove will await us. We will enjoy our dinner viewing the lights of the valleys of San Carlos. Afterwards we will return to La Fortuna.

For those eager to make the most of their time in Costa Rica, this tour offers an opportunity to explore the country’s nighttime marvels during a nocturnal hike. Our journey commences in a quaint village called La Tigra, a short 30-minute drive from La Fortuna. Upon our arrival, we will follow a path leading us into a regenerating patch of rainforest, dotted with reflective lakes ideal for wildlife spotting. Prepare to witness nocturnal creatures such as birds and mammals, insects, amphibians, bats, among others.

Great Tour 👍🏻 - Excellent tour guide (Mariano - forgot his name) and the driver (Johnny). The guide was knowledgeable. He ensured that we saw red eyed frog , unless we saw it he kept going and also helped me clicked pic. The highlight of the tour was also The home cooked meal by locals. It was delicious. Overall highly satisfied and recommend.

Fun, interesting, easy, exciting nature tour! - What a fun mini adventure! Joseph was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable and we saw so many interesting animals, plants and insects. The property, and the family who owns and hosts the experience was incredible, the food was amazing, and the tour benefits the environment with a very inspiring story. Thanks for a great night!

Great tour, very good organization and intereting content. - The tour was excellent - we saw several species of frogs (including poisonous dart frogs), snakes, sloths, and various insects. Kids enjoyed the tour , it was well organized and tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Evening to remember! - Amazing tour! Collected from out hotel by Kendry. 1-1.5 hour tour where we saw lots of frogs, a mum sloth with her baby, snail eating snake etc! Followed by a delicious meal cooked by a lovely family at their gorgeous home!! Very special evening to remember.

A personal and unique experience - This was one of our best experiences in Costa Rica. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and the experience felt intimate and personal. We shared a homemade meal which was wonderful, had great conversation and saw lots of frogs and insects! Highly recommend.

Gret nrainforest nightwalk in La Fortuna - Enjoyed the night walk and seeing the frogs especially. The grounds were lovely and the dinner on the patio was simple but tasty.

Unique and enjoyable experience - Jasmine was a fantastic tour guide. To start, the meeting location was easy to find and a quiet convenient location to leave our vehicle. The drive to the start of the tour was enjoyable and entertaining. The walk through the garden and forest were beautiful. We were able to see many frogs, spiders, birds and even a sloth. Dinner was delicious and the family who prepared it was wonderful, we enjoyed some piano and singing by their son while we ate dinner. Would do this again if I return to La Fortuna.

This was a great... - This was a great experience for all, particularly the kids. We saw the expected, frogs and lizards, and were thrilled to see the sloth with baby and ocelot with its meal. Our guide, Harvin, was excellent. The meal was good, but it would’ve been nice to have some flexibility, particularly as it relates to the kids.

Fancy frogs at night in the rainforest - Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful with showing the group things in the rainforest, and with helping us take photos. The dinner was authentic and very delicious. The owner’s grandson played music and sang during dinner, and this was an added treat to the whole experience. I would definitely recommend that you take this tour if you have the opportunity. My friend and I really enjoyed it!!!

Great night tour - We went 40 min from la Fortuna to a small family property. The guide was very knowledgeable and we were able to see many jungle creatures. Afterward we had an excellent authentic Costa Rican meal prepared by the family. We had kids age 5-14 and they loved the experience and the food!
