Best Private Costa Rica Tour - Lenny was truly a fantastic guide. She is super knowledgeable of Costa Rica and it shows through her tours. The was never a dull moment even during the 2 hour drive we took to La Fortuna as she incorporates facts about the country/town by pointing things out along the way. She was patient and kind and allowed us to experience everything. I highly recommend booking this tour, you won’t regret it.

we had a great time! - Everything about this excursion was amazing. We started the day being picked up from our hotel at a good time. Our guide, Hayro, was a great guy who knew a lot about La Fortuna, where to see animals, and all the facts about Arenal Volcano. He knew the trails very well and made sure the whole group stayed together. We loved seeing the wildlife and walking on the hanging bridges, playing in the waterfall at La Fortuna (head high, lots of stairs) . Lunch was so tasty and the best part by the time we were married was the hot springs.

Great experience but would skip the waterfall if possible - Wonderful experience and great tour guide. Our guide is also a naturalist who put a lot of efforts looking for various spices for us to see. Although it was a long day, it was very fun. If there’s an option, I would skip the La Fortuna Waterfall stop completely (also save money from entrence fee), and spend more time at the suspension bridges and the hot springs. La Fortuna Waterfall has 500+ steps down and up, as our guide suggested, better save the energy for the suspension bridges walk. Unless you have an extra day, you can go to this waterfall as a day trip to swim at the bottom, then take your time to walk up. The La Paz Waterfall Garden is a much better place for waterfalls viewing.

Nice sites impatient guide - The sites were great ones to visit! Loved the suspension bridges tour in the rain forest & the thermal hot springs. The vehicle had problems starting numerous times. The driver knew about the problem but hadn’t had it fixed. The driver was constantly texting (at least 25 times) with his girlfriend while driving with one hand at night through winding mountain roads in 2-lane traffic with no divider and through in town fast traffic! The seat belt had been cut off and could not be fastened. The length of time estimated for the tour was at least 1 hour under what was actually needed. The driver/guide didn’t want to allow time to walk down to the waterfall & had wanted to take the shortcut tour of the rainforest. The guide had obviously been doing this too much & was tired of tourists asking many of the same questions. Was expensive & there was only a small bottle of water provided in the morning with a pastry. Every other bottle of water we bought personally. A decent lunch was provided at the resort with the hot springs but there weren’t enough tourists for the buffet as advertised.

A long and compact tour with three high lights - This is a 14h tour with a lot of things packed into it. You have to be physically fit to enjoy the hike to the waterfall and the 2mile walk along the hanging bridges. However, the hot springs and spa gives you all the relaxation afterwards.
