Super cool experience!! - What an experience!!! Good explanation on the way in the bus through Moizes, and while rafting good instructions, seen many beautiful things, got a lot of information and especially well guided by Kervin. After the trip good care, towels, changing area, cool drink and a well catered lunch and safely brought back to our hotel by driver Martha. Really super cool experience!!

Great experience (except for lunch) - I was so nervous to go rafting with my 3 kids ages 10-13. But Chris our guide made me feel so safe. He guided our boat impeccably all the while being funny and pointing out animals in the trees! Thank you Chris!!!! Edit: the lunch we were given on the tour gave us food poisoning!!

Outstanding experience - We did a class 3-4 river rapid, i was a bit nervous 😬, but Brandon and our guide Jorge aka Momo… Outstanding!! Thank you sooo much for your support and understanding lol. , you are my new best friend 😂 you took the cobarde out of me and made it extremely fun for all of us🤗❤️, gracias, cannot wait to come back. Outstanding - One of the most professionals staff and guides we encounter. The experience was amazing and everything coordinated perfectly. Our water rafting Christopher was hilarious and very accommodating and knowledgeable about the whole tour and safety related to our experience. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

THE BEST OF THE BEST - After some weeks of stres and tiredness I decided to desconect from technology and responsibilities and connect with the most powerfull energy in life: Nature!!!! Speaking about rafting, I have done Pacuare, Sarapiquí, Savegre and now, La Balsa and I couldn't imagine La Balsa would be like this amazing. 😍😲 The level of the river is on top, night before it was raining so we got on the river with a sequence of rapids level ll and lll. There were a pair of splashes I swear I thought we would fall down, by Fortune, everything was ok and we had a very good and experienced guide, Moises, who knows how to make us laught, enjoying adventure and be prepared everytime. 🏞️🌊💕 Also, thanks to him, who has the First AID, so he was able to attend a kid who got a little injury on her foot while steeping on a rock. In this type of activities is important to have people with knowledged and tools.💯⛑️🩹 So, super recommended. If you want to scape from rushing, go to La Balsa for rafting. I promise you are going to be completely present there. 😍❤️🌊🏞️

Awesome! - This was a fabulous first-time rafting experience for our 13 and 15 year olds. We were picked up promptly from our hotel in La Fortuna, and the day ran very smoothly. The guide used the drive to the river to explain the schedule for the trip and to discuss safety. After rafting, they had towels for us to use to dry off and stopped at a bathroom/ changing building for people to rinse off and change before heading to lunch at a local organic farm. The lunch was buffet-style with vegetarian options and was absolutely delicious. The staff at the farm did a brief talk on the traditional method of brewing coffee in Costa Rica as well as one on processing sugar cane, and we got to try samples of both. It was easily one of our favorite activities in Costa Rica. All of the guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and the day ran exceedingly smoothly. The rapids were II-III+ (per our guide) which was a great introductory experience. I consider the tour to be a great value for the cost and would highly recommend.

First experience river rafting! - This has been one of the most fun and adrenaline-filled experiences my family and I have had in a long time. Our guide Cristopher was the best, very funny, made us feel safe but at the same time we laughed like never! We were Team Christofer Pura Vida. I'd do it again when I get back to Costa Rica. Worth every minute!

One of our Favorite Tours Ever! - We don't normally write reviews, but we felt compelled given the experience we had on this tour. This was one of the best tours we have ever done. All of the employees (from the guides to the bus driver) were all very professional, pleasant, safety conscious, and hard working to ensure an amazing experience for everyone. On the bus ride to the departure spot, they discussed the details and safety protocols. Once we arrived, we were given life jackets and helmets, and we also did a short safety review inside the raft before starting the adventure. Our guide, Carlitos, was very knowledgeable, personable, and engaging. He safely (and with so much fun) navigated us through the rapids and down the river. Once we got through the bulk of the rapids, we ended up in a calmer part of the river. Then we beached the rafts and were treated to some delicious, freshly cut pineapple and watermelon before hopping back onto the rafts and heading down the river. Once we were finished, we changed and were bussed to a local farm for an amazing Costa Rican style lunch and coffee, and sugar cane demonstration. We left our phones with our personal items on the bus so we didn't have to worry about losing them or getting them wet (during the rafting portion). Since we didn't have any photos of the experience, we opted to buy the professional photos that they took during the adventure. We paid for them without being able to see them prior (purchased online later that evening), but we were not at all disappointed! The $40 included at least 30-40 shots; it was well worth it in our opinion. This was a tour that my family and I will never forget! Thank you Wave Expeditions!
