Cala del Portixol - One of the best beaches in the Valencian Community for kayaking
A natural wonder only accessible from the sea
Cala del Portitxol, also known as Cala Barraca de Jávea, is located between Cap Prim and Cap Negre.
We will start the route from Cala la Barraca or also known as Cala Portitxol (Portichol), an enclave of white houses and blue doors.
We will go to Cala el Pom, where we will have previously been able to observe the Mirador de la Falzia, this viewpoint is a balcony overlooking Portitxol where you can see a large part of the Jávea coastline.
Passing Cala el Pom we pass through Arquet towards Cap Negre, named after the dark spots on the cliff walls.
Next to the viewpoint at the point of Cap Negre, two fishermen’s paths wind that lead to the Tabaco and La Mina caves.
Upon crossing the Cape we will head towards Punta Plana, to visit Cala la Barra
Finally we will enter the Cova dels Òrguens, the star of this route.
