Absolutely Brilliant - This was a total highlight of our trip so far (6 weeks in all across South America). Our guide was waldo and our driver pato, they were fab and made the experience even better. The trail is indescribable, the cycle is so adrenaline filled - I recommend it to anyone, you just need a little bit of confidence on a bike, you don't need to be a total expert. It was cloudy and rainy and we still had a great time and got some great photos. It is very cold at the top so I recommend lots of layers/warm jumper, I also wished I'd brought my own gloves to wear under theirs, and maybe a scarf/snood and even a hat. Still, when you get down a bit out warms up, and you aren't doing any exercise really as you're just going downhill so you don't get super sweaty! We didn't do the zip line but it did look fun. Watch out that one you start the actual death road descent you won't have access to water or loos for 2-3 hours. We ended up having a private tour just the two of us, for a group it might be faster or slower I'm not sure.

Problems with a bike and lots of hassle to get t-shirts and photos - Having done the La Paz city tour with Inti Travel and having being impressed with them (Steph was a great guide), I decided to book the Death Road tour with then too. However, it was much less impressive. Despite telling us the guides were bilingual, two of the three only spoke in Spanish during the tour - meaning those of us with some Spanish had to translate for those who had none. The groups was very large - 19 in total. My bike was ok (though definitely not as new as some of the other companies offered) but a wheel came off my friend's bike during the tour. Thankfully she wasn't badly hurt, but it could have been a lot worse had it happened on another part of the road. Despite promising t-shirts and to send round photos and videos of the tour promptly, the t-shirts only arrived three days later (and only then after a lot of hassling them) ... and completely the wrong sizes. Four days after the tour, I'm still waiting for the photos and videos. If you're planning the Death Road, I'd look to book with another agency.

Great tour guide but horrible logistic - The tour guide is professional and friendly. Really enjoyed the bike ride on death road. However, the tour logistic was a nightmare. We didn’t depart until an hour after the scheduled meet up time. After the bike ride, we were just sitting there waiting for them to wash the bikes for two hours...this should be done with their own time after the tour ends. Afterwards we were left at a hotel for two hours with not muchI to do. A total waste of time. This tour would be better if it includes just the bike ride and let us go afterwards.

A lot of wasted time - The actual biking section was good, but the whole tour didn’t need to take 14 hours We were picked up about 40min late and didn’t depart the city until an hr later than scheduled After biking to the bottom, we waited at a stop for almost 2hrs just for the guide to wash the bikes Then at the hotel where we had our buffet, we were given 2hrs of free time, but there weren’t much to do at the hotel. Overall we felt a lot of time was wasted and we could’ve ended the tour and back to our hotel at 5 but instead we got back at almost 10pm
