Great experience - it was a great experience to hike up Charquini and the Emerald Lake. The hkining is not difficult but due to the altitude one has to be fit and conditioned to the height. The group was fantastic and the guide very nice.

Excellent tour! - The Kasandra guide was very good. Valuable and interesting information. And very understanding of height management. You have to be prepared for the hike because you have to have good physical condition. It's not that far away but height makes it challenging. When you get to the lagoon, it was all worth it.

Green like the Esmeralda Lagoon 🤩 - Together with 6 other participants from all over the world, we had our guide Marco drive us to the starting point of the hike to the Esmeralda Lagoon. Unfortunately, I have forgotten the driver's name, but he got us safely from A to B and, when he wasn't driving, was very nice to chat to. In between, we stopped for special views of the surrounding mountains and lagoons. Marco told us bilingually about the history of the earth and historical events without it being long-winded. The large oxygen bottle in the car reminded us that our destination was at almost 5000m above sea level. But first we tried using hiking poles that we could borrow and managed it well. We took breaks on the climb again and again, Marco paid attention to each individual, gave tips on breathing and walking and asked attentive questions. Being used to the altitude really makes the climb easier. Happily arriving at the top, we had enough time to take photos and relax before we had to descend again. There was a relaxed atmosphere in the group, which Marco's style also contributed to. I highly recommend it

Breathtaking views - The hiking is breathtaking. I enjoyed the majestic mountains, the beautiful Laguna, glacier, and the wilderness. The hike is not long, taking about 66 minutes for me. I recommend you have acclimated to the altitude first before doing this tour, as it can be hard to hike above 4,600 meter to 5,040 meters.

Awesome day tour with beautiful views - Had a great time from start to finish! The coloured lagoons, the mountains, the cemetery, and the hike up to the glacier-fed lake were all spectacular. The altitude made the relatively short climb to the lake a bit of a challenge but it was well worth it! The guide and driver were friendly and professional.

charquini lagoon - One of the tours I liked most in Bolivia. The climb is tiring, but it was done without rushing and it was worth it. The lagoon is beautiful, one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to in my life.

Awesome Hike! - We had one last day in the La Paz area and decided that hiking Charquini looked like an amazing opportunity. I reached out to Feel Bolivia to set up a private tour for the 5 of us, ending in airport drop off for our flight back, and was easily able to set up everything with Carmen. Our guide for the day was Juan and he was absolutely amazing. Great at taking pictures and extremely helpful for our group as not everyone was able to hike at the same pace. Feel Bolivia provided us with post hike snacks and drinks and made sure we had a perfect day!

Great experience but prepare yourself - This was a great day and a great hike and the view is definitely well worth it at the end. However, I only arrived in La Paz the night before and was still struggling with the altitude and I felt really unwell after I got down to the bottom. So my only suggestion for travel is to do this track perhaps a few days after you’ve arrived to acclimatise

Good day out - Good day out from La Paz; a moderately difficult trek to the laguna with a fun, English speaking guide. Some very picturesque stops along the way.
