Awesome trip-loved the rapids - We rafted here while staying in La Fortuna-it was about an hour drive but not bad at all. We had an afternoon session set up and arrived around 12 to eat lunch at the cafe beforehand. We are not vegan but very much enjoyed the food, although it took a bit of time to prepare as it was entirely from scratch, meaning that we were a bit late starting the trip. Prior to the trip we were given all equipment and our guide went over a safety presentation. The guides are very business like but friendly. I liked that there was a kayaker that went with us on the trip to help out if needed. The rapids were awesome! Lots of action throughout and not too much down time-time on the river was about 2 hrs. We felt safe the whole time. We saw some interesting birds. At the end you load up in a van to drive the short way back to the office where they gave us a very hearty snack of cut up fruit sugar cane juice that they showed us how to squeeze in a press and coffee/tea. The office and restaurant staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend!

Right choice, unbeatable feeling - When we booked with Outdoor Center Sarapiqui we remained doubtful whether we would have chosen the most correct option, especially because we did it from Spain, without knowledge. Without experience in this type of activity, the insecurity is still greater. Well tell you that everything has been amazing, well above expectations. From the reception of Ariadne, the preparatory, the environment, the security, closeness and tranquility that Yordi, Juan, has transmitted to us. In a spectacular environment, the wonderful river where in addition to the Rafting activity itself, Yordi has been in charge of acting as a biological guide showing us the wonderful biodivetsity of the environment. We have seen Oropendulas, Cormorants, Herons, Rainbow Toucans and the best, on the arrival dock......a sloth. To finish we have been delighted with an invitation of fruit and cocoa seeds very good in a dream space. Highly, highly recommended.

Pura Vida - Eric was a friendly and knowledgeable guide. During the water rafting, he gave us a brief history of Sarapiqui and identified many different birds along the river. We had a lot of fun. David was a good host. He helped us put all the gears on and took many good pictures for us. A good vegetarian lunch and a delicious sugar crane drink were provided after the exciting water rafting.

Book this authentic, family-run, Sarapiqui rafting experience! - Good rapids, despite being relatively low depth for the time of the season. Eric, our guide/pilot(?) was really clear & thorough in his pre-rafting briefing. Excellent communication throughout the adventure & we felt safe, but positively challenged, throughout the course. David, the company owner & safety kayaker on the day, was really helpful & also gave us loads of really interesting local knowledge which further enhanced the experience. The lunch provided afterwards was (vegan) tasty & filled a hole. David even included us in a demonstration of how sugar cane juice used to be made. This was a nice, unexpected addition, which enhanced the experience by learning more about the local history of the Costa Rican ways. And finally, a positive mention to receptionist Tatiana, who was super helpful, friendly & fun. A great adventure all round & highly recommended!!

Great family descent - We loved the descent of the Rio Sarapiquí with Sarapiquí outdoor center. The equipment is very recent and we were perfectly directed by Jordi and Natalia in the boat and David in the kayak for the photos. On arrival, share around delicious fruits and cane juice squeezed directly by our children. Great memories!

Fun rafting in the jungle - We had the raft to ourselves (with guide Arturo and kayak spotter, Tucan.) Arturo knew his birds and had good stories of the river. He was a lot of fun. We had a great snack afterwards with a crushed sugarcane drink!

Rafting amazing - service bad - Rafting was amazing but afterwards they let us wait for 35 minutes in the cold before they picked us up. Afterwards no excuses and 30 dollars to pay for the pictures.
