Highly recommended company - Excellent experience. Booked just the day before for 10am to 12pm. Those guys are very smart, very easy with customers. Our kayaks were waiting for us directly on the beach. Benagil cave was so crowded but with 2 hours you can go further to more quiet and beautiful places. Thanks for the experience!

Super!!!! - Nice expérience with well trainded guides in small groupe. Kayaking is the best way to see the caves of Benagil.

Good experience - The kayak was available immediately (we came at 9.30 - opening time), and even though it had sand on it, the staff cleaned it. However, for this price I would have expected that at least the life vests are disinfected or cleaned and they weren’t so they stank. Also, by the time we got everything sorted and got to the caves, it was already pretty full. All in all the caves are nice and kayak is a good way to visit.

REGRETTABLE SCAM - We made a reservation for 2 kayaks with an instructor (we were 4 people) for the 1:30 p.m. pass. To our surprise, at 1:20 p.m. the group assigned to us had already left, so we had to wait more than an hour on the beach to depart with the next group. After this wait and observing a great disorganization on the part of the instructors (they did not have vests for everyone, lack of kayaks...) they informed us that due to the state of the sea they cannot continue with the excursions; However, the rest of the companies continued as normal. From what we heard them talk, the reason they left us stranded after waiting was that they had lost some members of the organized group along the way. At least they gave us our money back on the spot. REGRETTABLE.

Better to just rent at the beach - I booked two kayak rentals in advance of arriving in the algarve. Be aware that the bookings provide you with a one-hour window in which they can show up at any time and leave you waiting. Our booking was from 10-11 and we showed up to the meeting spot up on a steep hill at 10am and couldn’t find anyone from the company. We walked all over the place looking for them and all the other tour operators said these guys don’t show up on time. They didn’t show up until 10:30 and asked us to meet them back down the hill. Meanwhile we could have rented kayaks right at the beach from another company without any wait. There are many rental companies at the beach and it’s easier and faster to just rent there instead of booking in advance with Star Tours. Also, the tide can get very intense at the cave and it’s better to go with another company that has someone stationed at the cave to help you enter and exit safely. They did give us dry bags to carry our shoes and phones but otherwise not a great experience.
