Located at the most southwestern point of Mauritius, you’ll ascend to the memorial cross of Le Morne Brabant Mountain (A UNESCO world heritage site), under the watchful eye of our experienced local mountaineer committed to ensuring your safety, comfort, and enjoyment. During the journey witness the unfolding of the day’s first light followed by a breathtaking sunrise, its golden hues a spectacle to behold, uniquely experienced at this hour of the day.
The hike comprises several sections of rock-scrambling and climbing that can be managed by participants with minimal or no mountaineering experience. While on the hike, learn about the distinct ecosystem of the island, the legacy of the mountain, and the cultural nuances of Mauritius from a qualified local mountain guide. Keep an eye out for the ‘Boucle d’Oreille,’ also known as Trochetia Boutoniana, which is the endemic national flower of Mauritius.

Meet your guide outside the Slave Route Monument in Le Morne. Stay in your vehicle and follow your guide to the start point of the mountain trail. You are kindly requested to be at the meeting point 30 minutes before the start time in order not to miss your slot.

Amazing Sunrise Hike - It was absolutely amazing! Both Eric and Kassia were superb! Gave us all the safety instructions and were with us throughout the hike. The history facts also were so interesting. Most of all I think the timing of the hike is perfect… for the views, for the adventure and for the lack of crowds. Loved it!
Note: the hike is quite chalkengin if you’re not an experienced hiker! Be ready.

Great experience, great guide, 100% recommendation - We did the sunrise tour on Le Morne yesterday and are still totally thrilled! Our guide Eric brought us safely up and down. Thanks to him, we never felt that we could not master the quite challenging passages. We would strongly recommend, especially the last passage to the summit, only with guide. The view above is - especially at sunrise - unique!
We can also only praise the overall communication with the company: Due to the bad weather our first tour unfortunately had to be cancelled. We were informed of this in good time and immediately offered a replacement date. Safety comes first here!
Absolute recommendation!

An unforgettable experience - Departure very early in the morning for a simple and good reason to see the sunrise halfway through the ascent of Morne!
The second part is still reserved for experienced hikers and climbers, you should know that.
Bring good walking shoes and a change of clothes

Le Morne Brabant Morning Hike - absolutely amazing - We absolutely loved the morning hike with Kevin. The views are absolutely stunning and we loved every minute of this. Kevin is, hands down, one of the best tour guides we've ever been traveling with. He has climbed that mountain over 800 times and literally knows every step. This was immensely helpful as the descent was quite slippery due to sudden rainfall. He brought the whole group down safely. He even took pictures of us while climbing and sent them to all of us afterwards. He also equipped us with headlamps and all the necessary safety instructions. And on top of things, he's just a super nice guy to chat with about the country, nature, traveling, etc. He's also happy to share travel tips for Mauritius with you and is not only after the money (he also recommended hikes we could do without guides). We can't recommend doing this trip with Kevin enough.

Morne mountain hike - We hiked up the morne mountain today, it was q life changing experience! The guide Eric was a legend who guided us very safe to somethimes very steep pads. But all worth it in the end, the view and history behind this hike is amazing, the guide also thought us a lot about the history of this mountain and the stories around it. Overal very very happy with this experience!

Amazing ❤️ Must Do in Mauritius - We would recommend this trip to everyone visiting Mauritius. Kevin our guide was knowledgeable, sensitive and his priority was safety first. The whole experience was amazing and well worth the early get up.
You do need a reasonable level of fitness but plenty of belief in yourself, Kevin will guide you there safely and back. The highlight of our trip. ❤️

Sunrise Hike - I did the Le Morne Hiking with Kevin as guide and it was absolutely fantastic! I highly recomend Horazis. It was one of the best hiking experiences I ever had.

Amazing views at sunrise. - What an amazing hike!!! The guides (Kevin & Eric) were great, and had lots of experience dealing with a mixed crow of fitness levels. They were also a wealth of knowledge regarding the history, fauna and flora of the area. Would do this hike again in a hart beat for the spectacular views from the top as the sun rises.
