- Preveli Beach - Discover 3 of the most famous beaches on the south coast of Crete on a journey through the wild Kourtaliotis Gorge. Benefit from hotel pick-up, and then travel to the gorge, where you can walk down to the springs and waterfalls flowing towards the river at Preveli Beach.
Discover a unique mix of sandy beach and green river flanked by palm forests and rocky surroundings. Get some time to relax in the sun and take a dip in the sea. Continue to the popular Damnoni Beach at the exit to the valley, protected by high mountains, where you can take a boat trip to Preveli Beach.Then, go to the small resort of Plakias, situated in a natural bay, and get some time to enjoy lunch, do some shopping and go for another swim in the turquoise waters. Return back to Rethymno along a different route to experience the dramatic landscapes of the Kotsifou Gorge.

Additional Information
Embark on a guided tour to some of the top south coast beaches in Crete, Plakias and Preveli Beach. Explore the island’s stunning palm forests before unwinding on the beach! We will traverse the exotic Kourtaliotis Gorge by bus on our journey to the beaches, making a stop to admire the beautiful waterfalls and the springs of the petite river Preveli. Next, we’ll visit the sandy shores of Damnoni, from where a boat will ferry us in roughly half an hour to the acclaimed Palm Beach Preveli. After vacating Palm Beach Preveli, we’ll indulge in a traditional lunch and if desired, another dive at the scenic village of Plakias.

- Seats are assigned by the theater box office and will not be known in advance of the performance date
- At the time of booking please mention your hotel name and location. You will be notified by email about the pickup point and time
- Pickup begins up to 60 minutes before tour starts and is done from central meeting points near the hotels, only in the areas of Panormo, Scaleta, Adele, Platanias, Missiria, Rethymno town, Atsipopoulo, Kavros and Georgioupoli
- Infants will be seated with their parents on the bus and will not have their own seat

Beaches, church & more beaches. - You got what it specifies. Fab day out visiting tiny churches down valleys, taking boats to hidden beaches - which had hundreds of people on it. Then we went to fab little town with another beach where we had lunch outside & another swim in the sea. Great to see more of the island of Crete, it’s a beautiful place.

Superb excursion - Very nice excursion to an enchanting site despite the many tourists. The advantage with Platanos Tours is that we get there by boat and thus avoid the more than 400 steps to get down there. Very good guide. I highly recommend.

I can highly recommend this tour with children. There is enough time to swim or eat something on all the beaches

Interesting and pleasant - I loved the Gorges. The palm forest was beautiful. The 30 minutes ride on boats was also inyeresting. Too bad the stay at the bottom of the gorge wass too short. It would have been better to lessen the time at the last beach in plakyas but leave more time at the monastery on the bottom of the gorge.

The best day of our lives - The best day of our lives! The tour guide and bus driver were so welcoming and nice to listen to. We got to see many different climates and cultural things. The tour guide gave us a lot of fun information and he was also very funny. Regarding the actual trip - Preveli Beach is one of the most fantastic places you’ll ever visit, there are plenty of incredible restaurants nearby, and you will get a lot of time to relax and enjoy the nature. The boat trip felt safe and was very beautiful. I would recommend this trip to everyone! Next time in Crete I’ll make sure to go on this trip again. Amazing!

Very nice trip to beautiful beaches - Nice and easy trip, they picked us up on time and they were always punctual throughout the stops. The guide and the driver were friendly. For the first stop, the gorge, you need trainers and bear in mind it's very windy. The second stop, Damnoni, is a very nice beach. The boat trip was great, very beautiful view of the coast. Preveli was amazing! Although there are many people and the toilets are terrible. Finally Plakias was nice. Everything went well and I'm happy I did it. I would have taken off Plakias and stayed in Damnoni, because there isn't enough time there to swim, and then in Plakias we really just had lunch. So I would have done gorge, Damnoni, Preveli and then Damnoni again.

Simply wonderful - Amazing bus driver, very passionate and mostly caring about your well-being and providing an amazing experience to the group. The guide was also exceptional, very skilled in her languages, kind and just wonderful.
The sights were cute and relaxing. We had enough time to see everything we wanted to see.
If you read this and doubt it, DO IT! It’s a good memory.

For beach lovers - If you like to lie on the beach, this is a nice trip. We didn't really like it much. Fortunately, there were some terraces where you could have a drink.
