Ziplining
First you will get strapped in your harness and start the ziplining course through the canopy and canyons! The course takes you into a steep canyon over a turbulent river, where you will zipline, rappel and rock climb, cross hanging bridges and ride Tarzan swings. You will go down 8 zip line cables, 18 platforms, a climbing wall, a hanging bridge, “via ferrata” (cable) rappel, and a tarzan swing!
Horseback Riding
After ziplining, you will return to the tour base to prepare for a 45-minute horseback ride through the forest viewing the local flora and fauna of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano
- Rincon de La Vieja - River Tubing - You will have the time of your life bouncing down Rio Negro’s crystal clear and fun rapids in your individual rafting “tube” for over 5 kilometers.

Rio Negro Hot Springs - Hot Springs & Volcanic Mud Bath
After lunch you will driven to the Hot Springs. Surrounded by tropical dry forest, the Río Negro (Black River) Hot Springs feature ten pools with thermal waters heated naturally by the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano.The soothing mineral waters are crystal clear and all natural, and the river flows through the pools constantly refilling them with water. Relax and enjoy luxuriating in our healing waters. You can also try our volcanic mud “bath”, where you smooth volcanic clay mud all over yourself like a spa “masque,” then after it dries, wash it off with a cool river water shower. Ziplining
Take on our zipline course nestled in a deep canyon, featuring 8 zip wire cables, 18 landing platforms, a suspension bridge, optional rappelling and a thrilling Tarzan swing.
Horseback Riding - Enjoy a serene 45-minute ride through the forest, viewing the region’s unique flora and fauna around the volcano.
River Tubing - Have the most exhilarating time floating down the clear and playful rapids of the Rio Negro on your personal rafting ‘tube’ for over 5 kilometers.
Lunch includes a variety of entree and side options from the salad bar, dessert bar, along with fresh juice, coffee, and tea. Dietary requirements of all types can be met.
Post-lunch, you’ll be transported to the Hot Springs & Mud Bath. Housed in the midst of tropical dry forest, the Rio Negro Hot Springs boast ten naturally heated pools, courtesy of the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano.

Adventurous!! - From pick up to drop off, this was one of the best adventures of our lives! We had the best guide, giving tips and history on Costa Rica during the drive! So well-planned, organized, the zip lining and river rafting were heart pounding! The food was delicious!!! And, the horseback and hot springs were so relaxing and enjoyable! Amazing Time - This combination of activities—ziplining, horseback riding, and tubing—is absolutely worth the price. The adventure kicked off with ziplining, an exhilarating experience that left me wishing for more length, though it was thoroughly enjoyable overall.
Next up was horseback riding, my first time trying it, and I was eager to bond with my horse. The horses were well-trained and effortlessly followed the trail. Having control over my horse was a cool experience too.
Tubing was undeniably the highlight for me. It was incredibly fun, and I found it to be the most enjoyable part of the entire adventure. The staff were present in the more challenging rapids, which added a reassuring layer of safety. Embrace getting wet—it's part of the thrill. I did get stuck a couple of times but managed to navigate back on course. Be prepared for the possibility of flipping or falling off your tube—it adds to the excitement!
To cap it all off, you have the option to unwind at the hot springs afterward, which was a perfect way to relax after an action-packed day. Overall, this experience is well worth the investment.

If you are looking for an adventure this is THE ONE! - This trip is amazing. You must do it!!!! Tubing is fun, and you might flip over, but the staff are there to help you. The food buffet was AMAZING. The horseback riding was beautiful and took you to an amazing waterfall. The ziplining is so fun too. Enjoy the views !!! Ending the day with the hot springs is perfect. I would 100000 % come back. Also, you do not need towels they are provided so it's great. Lockers are free and are provided too and you go back to them throughout the day. Bring bug spray for the ziplining !!!!!

Life changing! - An unforgettable day!! It was such a great adventure park where everyone was so kind and the food was fantastic! All the guides of the horseback riding, river tubing, and zip lining were like a well-oiled machine where every guide knew exactly what to do and how to keep you safe. It was busy but that’s what you get for a touristy experience. Highly recommend this trip!

Fun adventure - We had so much fun on this adventure! Zip lining was fun and beautiful. The horses were great. The tubing was a little crazy because the water was high but still very fun.

SO MUCH FUN! - This was a great deal! Horse back riding, zip lining (7), white water tubing, hot springs and mud bath. I had so much fun - the people who worked on the different events, were great and super friendly.

Great family memories! - Booked for family of six including young adults ages 17-28. Had a fantastic time! Our guide, Diego, was fantastic and answered all of our questions. We felt safe the entire time with the protocols even though it was a true adventure day. Would absolutely recommend.

Fun day at Guachipelin - River tubing was really fun! Our guide and driver very nice. We stopped each way for food, snacks bathroom break that was nice.
One issue we had was the tour company said no more than 20 people in a group max. We had 10 people in our van but when we arrived at the park we were merged together with many groups making the experience not nearly as nice.
The way we were grouped together waiting to start our horse ride seemed dangerous. Many horses were fighting and biting at each other and crowding at the gate. Most of the guests had no horse experience making this stressful.
Overall all the experiences were fun and the people nice. Would have been great in a small group.

Full day of adventure - Our experience with the Guachipelin adventure combo excursion was filled with fun and smooth sailing. My son and I had an amazing time exploring the various activities. The highlight for both of us was definitely the river tubing. Although it felt like category 3 rapids, our guides assured us it was only a category 2. Some areas were quite intense, and I got tossed off the tube on the first rapid. A word of advice: lift your hips in the shallow areas to avoid hitting rocks—I learned this the hard way!
The horseback riding portion was decent, with the horses mostly following the pack. I was initially concerned that my horse might take off, but it seemed they were well-trained and stuck to the path. As a first-time rider, I found it a bit frustrating that my horse wouldn’t pick up the pace despite my efforts to take the reins.
Ziplining was exhilarating, especially since my son and I were at the front of the pack, so we didn’t have to wait long for our turn. However, I can see how those at the back might feel like they’re just waiting around. The large group size meant it took some time for everyone to get clicked onto the lines and for the guides to prepare for the next zipliner.
The day concluded with a relaxing visit to the hot springs and a mud bath, which was a perfect way to unwind after all the excitement. Lunch was provided at the on-site restaurant and was quite filling, with a good variety of proteins, salads, fruits, and pastries.
One area for improvement would be the group size—smaller groups would enhance the overall experience. I did encounter a misunderstanding regarding pricing for self-driving instead of using the tour shuttle, but both the vendor and Viator promptly refunded the difference.
Our tour guide, Daphne, was excellent. Despite opting for the self-drive option, she ensured my son and I felt included and informed about our schedule and next activities. Her efforts made the experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, I would recommend this tour for a thrilling day of adventure, with a few suggestions for enhancing the experience for future participants.
