It was an incredible visit! - The visit was great, the driver was very cautious and the guide was phenomenal, Caral was an incredible civilization that created many technologies that were later used by other pre-Inca cultures.

Caral in Peru, a civilization as old as ancient Egypt? - If you have time to spare in Lima, this full day excursion is worthwhile. The Caral excavations started just a few years ago, so there is still so much to uncover. You will realize how little is known about ancient Peruvian civilization, pre-dating the Incas by thousands of years. Remember to take your hiking shoes, sunscreen and wind-proof head cover. Be prepared to walk. We also toured the coastal village of Bandurria, even older than Caral, and even less excavated. Also wonderful views of the Albufera Paraíso and the Pacific Ocean. Our bus driver and our tour guide were excellent!

Caral is a must while in Lima - The tour guide and driver are fantastic. Caral is a place to be admired. We stopped for breakfast and later lunch. Pickup was on time. It is a very long day but worth it. Disappointed that I never got text messages in advance regarding change in pickup time. Luckily I traveled with a friend who had a separate reservation and warned me about the change. All communication was through her which I mentioned to the tour guide was unacceptable. It’s an administration issue and not the guide’s fault. Otherwise it was a wonderful experience. BTW always carry toilet paper and hand gel. Bathrooms clean but no TP

NOT EVERYTHING IN PERU IS MACHU PICCHU!! - If you want to know the innards of the oldest civilization in America (recorded so far) do not hesitate to miss this tour, it will take you all day but it is worth it. You don't come back the same after visiting Caral and Bandurria. Furthermore, Mr. Manuel who was our guide is super attentive; good talk, excellent food and recommendations to learn more about Peru. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

The guides provided by the National park service were very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. - This trip was interesting and learned a lot about the ancient civilizations; however, the guide was terrible. Breakfast and lunch was included on the ticket as part of the booking details. The guide, Glinka stated we had to pay for all the meals when we arrived to breakfast, which became an additional cost we were not prepared. Also, He was unprepared to pay for admission payment for all of us to get into Caral. We had to pay for one person’s admission and was not reimbursed. During lunch, he brought us to a table and left without helping us order lunch since we did not speak Spanish and specifically asked for an English speaking guide for ease of the day. He left the restaurant and was no where to be found while we ate. We finished, paid our bill and had to wait for him.
