Highlights

Miraflores - Depart from Lima around 6:00 am, direct to Paracas, arriving around 9:45 am.
Paracas - Arrive in Paracas around 9:45 am, you will then go with your guide to port to board the boat for the tour to Ballestas Island.
Islas Ballestas - Take a speedboat out to the Ballestas Islands to see penguins and sea lions in their natural habitat.
Huacachina - Depart from Paracas to Huacachina at 1:30 pm, arriving around 2:45.

You will have free time until 4:00 pm, when the buggy and sandboarding tour starts.

Huacachina - Dune Buggy up and Sandboard down the biggest sand dunes at the only desert oasis in South America.
Miraflores - Arrive back in Lima around 11:45 pm, we will drop your off at your accommodation.

There, you’ll take part in an exciting boat tour of the Ballestas Islands, often likened to the Galapagos Islands, where you’ll get to observe sea lions and seals in their natural habitats. After that, you’ll head on an adventurous journey through Huacachina’s desert oasis in a dune buggy and experience the thrill of sandboarding down incredible dunes.

Great! Affordable! - This was a great way to spend a day of our honeymoon! The dune ride was terrifying, so we kept our eyes closed most of the time!

LOVE - This was such an amazing trip!!! highly recommend. Communication via whatsapp prior to the trip was excellent. they answered all my questions. Arturo (our tour guide) came promptly at our pickup time (5:50am) to our hotel and the day then went like this: - drove a few hours to paracas where we had breakfast - went on a two hour boat ride and saw sea lions, penguins and even a dolphin! - then had lunch - then headed to huacachina - went on a dune buggie ride (what a wild ride!! but soooo much fun). had plenty of time to take photos, sand board and take sunset photos. - had dinner at a nearby restaurant - headed back to the city (we arrived back in lima city at 11pm, and with individual hotel drop off, we were back at our hotel at 11:30pm. this trip is veryyyyy vegetarian friendly. there are some vegan options as well tho i didn’t pay too close attention to that, sorry. but they have an entire menu just for vegetarians for lunch. they have chosen good restaurants for vegetarians! every part of this trip was well thought out and exciting. i loved learning about some of the history of paracas and all the staff were very helpful and kind. Arturo was very attentive and took roll call at different points to make sure we were all together. the only complaint i have is that the bus was very cold! but other than that minor inconvenience, i highly recommend this trip for anyone looking to explore the local scene, wildlife and have a little adventure!
