Excellent experience surfing the dunes! - Was not expecting this! Such a memorable day in Huacachina in a desert oasis, surfing sand dunes and visiting a vineyard where they make Pisco. I was staying at Waikiki hostel in Lima where I met Rose. She literally bounced into my life!! Rose is the travel agent at our hostel and I enquired about a walking tour to Barranco. We got chatting and she recommended this trip. I’d seen it online but it was a little out of my price range. She hooked me right up!! Rose gave me the best price for an amazing day out. I was out for 15 hours in total and about 8 of this was driving (to Huacachina and back) but the bus was large, comfortable and air conditioned with stops for toilet breaks and snacks on route. The pisco tasting was great, very informative and so much fun. I learned many fun Spanish phrases when toasting. Then it was into some dune buggies to surf the sand dunes. The ride was thrilling but bumpy (caution to those with a bad back). The sand dune surfing was brilliant. It was surprisingly easy but super fast. All in all, fab day out!

Worst experiences for sand boarding and sand skiing. - I like the bus guide and winery. But I hate the sandbording and sandski arrangements. We got combined with the sliding down boards people which is not in your advertising. We have so little time with the sandboard and sand skiing. Plus in your advertisement you mentioned you will have the expert instructors for us. There was none. Only the driver which rushed us for everything. He also was busy with the sliding down group. No video and pictures as advertised. No English speaking guides in the dessert only one the tour bus. The equipments are poorly maintained (the boots strap and shields are broken). They made us carry the heavy equipments up and down sand dune ourselves. I strained my left shoulder because of this. This is bad. We didn’t prepare for this. Lastly in the voucher you said on the way back you will drop us off at the hotel. The bus driver and guide tried not to honor that. We had to argue with them to get the drop off at our hotel. I will not recommend this tour. They are very un organized and unprofessional.
