  • Plaza San Martin - Plaza San Martín is a public space located on block 9 of Nicolás de Piérola Avenue (former Colmena Avenue) within the historic center of Lima in Peru. In 1988 it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is considered one of the most representative public spaces in the city of Lima.

The square is connected to the Plaza Mayor of Lima by the Jirón de la Unión. Its central monument is a tribute to the liberator José de San Martín, manager of

  • Jiron de La Union - The Jirón de la Unión is a street on the Damero de Pizarro in the historic center of Lima, capital of Peru. For many years it was the most important street in the city, characterized by being the most “aristocratic” and where the most famous inhabitants of the city met. Later, with the deterioration of the historic center of Lima, the Jirón de la Unión lost its aristocratic character to assume a completely commercial one after the recovery of the sector.

Since 2005, with the plan to revalue the historic center of Lima, it has once again been one of the most commercial streets in the center of Lima. In 2013, it was chosen the sixth most expensive street in Latin America by Colliers International.

  • Iglesia y Convento La Merced - The minor basilica and convent of Nuestra Señora de la Merced is a religious building in Peru, which was built by Brother Miguel de Orenes in 1535, taking the Archangel San Miguel as its owner.

The Patroness of the Armed Forces of Peru is venerated in the basilica.
The façade is a finished example of the Churrigueresque Lima baroque style and in its central part the image of the Virgen de las Mercedes appears in a niche, around which others are arranged.

  • Casa O’higgins - Casa O’Higgins is a colonial-style building located in the historic center of Lima, specifically located in the Jirón de la Unión, a few meters from the Plaza de Armas of the Peruvian capital. Since 2008, the house has functioned as a cultural center of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and a permanent space for the memory of Bernardo O’Higgins.

  • Casa de la Literatura Peruana - The House of Peruvian Literature is a public cultural center located in the Desamparados Station in the Lima district of Peru.

It is a line body of the Vice Ministry of Pedagogical Management of the Ministry of Education of Peru. It was inaugurated on Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Its programs and activities have the purpose of disseminating knowledge of Peruvian literature, promoting diverse literary experiences and encouraging national literary production. As an institution that belongs to the Ministry of Education, both admission and services are free.

  • Alameda Chabuca Granda - Alameda Chabuca Granda is a large viewpoint of the city of Lima adjacent to the Government Palace and on the banks of the Rímac River. From there you can see the old Rímac neighborhood, the San Cristóbal hill, the Desamparados Train Station, the Stone Bridge, the Rayitos de Sol Bridge and a vast horizon of viceregal mansions. It has three amphitheaters and stages for varieties and Creole music.1
  • Iglesia San Francisco de Asis - The monumental complex of the Basilica and Convent of San Francisco de Lima, also known as San Francisco the Great or San Francisco de Jesús, is located in the historic center of Lima. This church, together with the Nuestra Señora de la Soledad Sanctuary and the Church of the Miracle, makes up one of the most welcoming and artistic corners of Lima. Ramón Menéndez Pidal, Spanish philologist and scholar, commented in this regard: “It is the largest and most noble monument that the conquest erected in these lands of prodigy.”
