Perfect Visit - Our 2-hour guided tour was fantastic. From the initial overview all the way through it was simply perfect. Sufficient time to see all with questions answered and more history than we ever expected. So very glad we did this tour with a local!

Highly Recommend - Our guide, Antonio, was extremely generous with his time and very knowledgeable. His input was perfect—he gave us an understanding of the amazing gardens, as well as the museum and its art, while giving us time to experience it for ourselves. It was a perfect balance.

Lisbon with Diolo. The best vibe! - Our tour was supposed to be a museum tour but it turned out that the museum was closed. Diolo, being the skilled tour guide and beatboxer that he is, thought quickly, improved and offered us options on what we could do as an alternative. He took us on a tour around Lisbon that gave us some of the old and new sights that showed us what makes Lisbon the vibrant city that it is. Occasionally displaying his hype beatboxing skills, Diolo’s love for Lisbon and exuberant energy made our detour one of a kind! He has a special mix of knowledge, humour, respect, and creative energy that made this detour a memorable one. Thank you Diolo! (August 2019)

Magnificent museum and gorgeous gardens - Lisbon is a dream and the Gulbenkian is its real jewel of a cultural institution. You can see great art and one of the most wonderful collections of Islamic arts—Persian carpets to savour and Ottoman ceramics to delight. Stroll in the gardens; eat a delightful simple meal, Portuguese style in the outdoor terrace; even shop for souvenirs. Can’t wait to be freed to go back to Lisbon and to see my old friends in the display cases in the museum!

the garden of Eden - what a treasure these gardens are. we did not have the time to visit the Museum as we spent so much time in the gardens. wonderful to see young people sitting on the lawns, young couples pushing prams and everything so tranquil. difficult to believe it is so near the city centre. magnificent landscaping creates many different rooms of foliage and texture. a stream trickles through the gardens fanning into ponds then gathers itself in gentle waterfalls. the coffee shop makes excellent coffee but it's the ice cream and sorbet that imprints on your memory! a very worthwhile couple of hours!!

Loving Lisboa - If you want to be guided to Lisboa's well known or even hidden places you might think about asking for Inês, who definitely is much more informed than any of the popular guides. If you want your questions being answered which are not handled in you written guide you might think again about booking Inês, who will answer in a charming way.But if you want to know what it means to be Português, to be Lisboeta, if you love this beautiful country and these wonderful people and if you let fado take you on a journey to unknown lands and saudade always guides you back, when you are on your way learning português, than spend time with Inês.

WITH LOCALS tour operators are terrible - I was stood up for this very expensive skip the line with ticket tour. The tour operator, With Locals, never showed. After I texted, called and left a message they finally responded. They could not find a substitute guide. This was the second time in Portugal that we were stood up by WITH LOCALS. I received a message thAT I will receive a refund IN THE FUTURE but I was unable to enter the museum on our last day and our half day was ruined.TripAdvisor would not answer phone.
