Miradouro das Portas do Sol - Whether on a climb from the Cathedral to the Castle of São Jorge or the other way around, the Portas do Sol viewpoint is a perfectly located spot in the middle of this route for an impromptu break.
Visiting the viewpoint is also an excuse to appreciate the genuine features of Lisbon in a fantastic view to the eastern front of the Alfama District and the Tagus River, which extends to the river’s edge in a unique maze of streets, staircases and lanes. From the top of the viewpoint it is also possible to admire the various domes and different architectures of the churches of Santo Estêvão, São Miguel and São Vicente de Fora.
Being at the Portas do Sol viewpoint is like being on a balcony at home, thanks to its cozy and busy atmosphere. Great overview of Lisbon - John was a great guide who adjusted the tour as needed. He was very knowledgeable, had insights regarding the sights, and could navigate the Lisbon streets. We had a great day!

THE BEST TOUR FOR FIRST TIME VISITORS - The most memorable was visiting Pasteis de Belem, watching how the ladies make those delicious delicacies and being able to skip the long line outside. This tour is worth the price. Anastasiya was a fantastic guide. She is a wealth of knowledge and knows Portugal's history well. She was very attentive to me when I needed to rest. I highly recommend this tour to get the highlights of Lisbon.

Excellent overview of Lisboa - What a wonderful day we had with Joao. He introduced us to so many areas of Lisbon and shared his extensive knowledge of the history of this great city. He is a very good photographer and took many photos for us. We had a wonderful Portuguese lunch and topped off the afternoon with Pastais de Nata and Ginginha. You must start your visit to Lisbon with this tour and ask for Joao!

Fabulous - Joao was so enthusiastic, with a lot on information on Lisbon and Portugal. He was patient and also an awesome photographer.

Great day tour of Lisbon - This was my second time booking this same tour with Kitzel Tours. It’s a great way to see all the highlights of Lisbon all in one day. We were picked up in a comfortable car and offered bottled water. Our guide gave us such great history of Lisbon. She also offered to get some great family photos along the way! Overall the tour was amazing and I highly recommend!

Perfect day of introduction to Lisbon - It was amazing to get such a complete and varied tour of Lisbon. It seemed like every time we turned a corner there was an amazing view.
