Highlights
  • Restaurante Club Capítulo - Join our small group Kayak tour (5 kayaks) from Time Out Market (Mercado da Ribeira) to the coastline of Sesimbra where we will provide you with a home made pic nic during our stop at one of the most beautiful beaches in the Arrabida Natural Park called Ribeiro do Cavalo.

This is an all inclusive tour so we will have a transfer from Lisbon to the village of Sesimbra where our kayak equipment will be waiting for us which includes DOUBLE (tandem) sit-on-top kayaks, life vests, water resistant bags for any belongings you choose to take with you on the tour and inside a big beach towel and water bottles, and off course the paddles and very comfortable kayak seats.

We will paddle from the harbour of Sesimbra after you receive a briefing on the tour and paddling technics and in general it takes us 1h:30m to get to the beach where we will have our 1h break for lunch and for you to enjoy the scenery. The way back to the start point takes about another hour of paddling and in most days with the help of some wind pushing us.

By default we provide a chicken baguette sandwich (avocado, lettuce, mushrooms, tomato and chicken) or veggie option just let us know. Total duration is about 7h.

Additional Information

The term ‘California’ was coined in this region, which later became the name of a state in the USA. This stunning limestone scenery will serve as the backdrop for our kayak excursion.

Starting from Sesimbra’s marina, the tour will edge around the harbor’s jetty and set course west, beholding this splendid landscape. Prepare to explore Mula Cove and Pedra da Mula and learn their tales, leading up to the striking Ribeira do Cavalo and its azure waters.

Departing from the beach, we will venture towards the Lapa da Boca do Tamboril and Frade Cove. A beachside lunch awaits us.

We maintain a favorable ratio of one guide for every five kayaks to ensure an optimal experience. There is one guide dedicated to each group of 10 visitors.

  • Kayaks not suitable for participants over 110kg
  • Not recommended for travelers above 110kg

Amazing Experience with Rui and his Team!! - This review is way overdue. We really enjoyed our time on this trip!! It was very windy the day of our trip and Rui changed our kayak adventure to a private boat ride that was so amazing. We saw dolphins, lots of caves, and best of all, they brought along the kayaks so we were still able to enjoy in a calmer area. This was the highlight of our trip! Safety was priority with Rui and I can’t emphasize enough how friendly he and his staff were. Highly highly recommend!!

Loved it! - This tour was unreal. The ocean was crystal clear, the town was stunning and the tour guides were great. My only caution is if you’re not very physically able as we ended up kayaking about 8km. My arms and back were certainly sore the next day, so if you’re not up for that, it might not be the right tour for you

The best kayak trip ever- thank you! - This was the most wonderful experience. Breathtakingly beautiful and our guide (Luis) was outstanding. So knowledgeable, patient and clearly passionate about nature and exploring. We received clear communications letting us know what to expect from pick up to drop off. Our group was our family of 8, all adults, and everyone agreed this was a highlight of the trip. Thank you! Remember your hats and sunscreen there is no shade.

Nature’s beauty and interesting history - A great experience on a sunny day. Enjoyed being out on the sea, close to nature and hearing all the stories of history and present day from our knowledgeable guide (a local of the area who had lived his whole life there and clearly knew a lot and was passionate about the sea). Beautiful scenery and a great activity!
