Excellent tour. Do not hesitate to book! - Sonia is a very knowledgeable tour guide who provided lots of helpful tips and insights to help with our visit to Lisbon. Particularly liked her tips on where to eat and loved her general enthusiasm for the city. Did 1.5 hour tour but could easily have done the 3hr one. Lovely experience and well worth it.

The perfect intro to Lisbon! - Rita was an excellent guide and made us feel welcome in her beautiful city. She shared many interesting facts about the history & culture of Lisbon as we walked thru the streets, and she recommended several delicious places to eat. Muita obrigada, Rita!

Lisbon Day 1 - Private Kickstart tour. - Very Disappointing. We booked a private guide for a 90 minute tour of the key sites and history of Lisbon through Tripadvisor, rather than the free tours. Our guide Amanda, changed the meeting location of the walk an hour or so before the start to Miradoura Sao Pedro de Alcantara. Ok we thought a different route and more to see. We climb to the start, the guide is 10 mins late, but did let us know and was very apologetic. We set off on a winding walk through the streets of Biarra Alto, Chiado and Biaxa, ending up at the waterfront. whilst the guide was chatty, there was no real structure to the stops, little information on the history etc. Some nice info about current shops and restaurants, but we had to ask to get info. She then finished 15mins early and didn’t go toward the castle where we expected to finish. We learnt more going into the Lisbon Story exhibit at the square for 7€ afterwards than on her tour. For €44 each we would have an expected a more informative guide.

Don’t waste your time. - This was super disappointing. Our guide was late so we thought we missed the tour. We left to walk around the meeting area and do our own touring. He finally called and said he was running late. When he arrived, it didn’t seem like he had a planned tour itinerary. We weren’t taken to different neighborhoods and didn’t get any understanding of where we were. He took us into a bookstore (the oldest bookstore in the world - very cool) but spent way too much time elaborating on Portuguese authors and poets and proceeded to go into this further when we began walking again. This tour lacked depth in storytelling, history and insight on the city layout. We even ended the tour early because we felt it was a waste of our time. Don’t waste your money!
